Just looking for some suggestions/improvements on the tree, and what aura's I should run. And what skills I can level with that won't require much (if any) regrets. For gear I have an idea of what I want, and don't really want to build it around any uniques since I play SSF/SSFHC exclusively. But with pretty terrible gear I'm already at 600k DPS, and I can sustain the damage as early as level 68-70 (according to skill self-damage), since my life regen should cover the damage taken. PoB: So, with the new life recoup notes on the tree, you can do some really interesting stuff. Something that could be cool for any staff caster is to combine them with Glancing Blows and the new staff mastery that grants %life on block. Here is my take of FR poison pathfinder with some mock gear and decent DPS/Defense. Tried to make it very basic, day 1 type stuff, no uniques or clusters (although I included some that would be useful in the items). I'm hoping the PF flask regen is enough to sustain the self dmg. I'd assume leveling with BV/Concoction will be the play until more gear and higher level. Hoping that someone could help fine tune this, or let me know if it'll fail. Only a proof-of concept as I had a previously leveled witch. I haven't played a self-chill build before so I did some reading of possible builds. I know that people usually do it with Lightning/molten strike for attacks or spark for spells. I have another combo I want to try this with: Hydrosphere Vortex. The idea is to use vortex on m1 which should clear trash but also inflict a freeze/brittle on Hydro. Hydro has a bunch of extra levels + crit so should be good enough for map bosses/guardians.
