PoE Burning Damage, Elementalist, Melee builds without Detonate Dead

Posting my build idea I've been working on so i can get any tips for improvement in the comments and also as inspiration to my fellow melee ignite hype men. I think this has great potential and it has a lot of room for upgrades when i farm up the currency for it. However i will say i do plan on playing this character as fire trap/Frostblink until i can self farm Story Of The Vaal and Dyadian Dawn because i think starting level 1 as melee ignite will still be kinda painful lmao.

Here we go, concept of a build I'm toying since this evening, after someone threw at me the idea of melee elemental hit, me answering it was shit, him holding his ground, and me checking a bit more and finding insane synergies about it. Long story short, I lost a bet to a friend while we were on a bender, and being poe degenerates we are, the result was that I need to come up with a build, which is in a title (elementalist, with leap slam as a main skill, using ignite). Today, I present to you this abomination, a child, conceived in love and constant misery. I scrapped whatever gear and currency I could from my previous characters and here it is. Leap slam is a main clear tool, vaal smite/smite is used as a emergency damage button and dps bump for bosses; for the curses I use selfcast Flammability and Alchemist Mark-On-Hit.

Introduction Hello there, PinguinTorpedo here with my take on a melee ignite build in 3.20. There was a lot of discussion that melee builds in general are in really bad spot. Especially ignite builds with the removal of the Divine Inferno jewel. I came up with an Ice Crash Ignite Elementalist that should be pumping 5.1m to 26m in a mapping environment, 9m to 17m against standard bosses and arounnd 2.4m to 4.2m Uber dps with 4s ignite uptime. A few people have been talking about the potential of ephemeral edge, trying to work around the low attack speed. One way to not care about attack speed is to do ignite build. This has several big more multipliers, a decently fun playstyle if you don't mind slow slamming, big aoe from elementalist and huge tanky potential from a fat ES pool. It also scales very well with gear. Warning: super slow attacking melee build, certainly not for everyone (it might even just be unplayable).
