PoE Heart of Flame, Melee builds

Long story short, I lost a bet to a friend while we were on a bender, and being poe degenerates we are, the result was that I need to come up with a build, which is in a title (elementalist, with leap slam as a main skill, using ignite). Today, I present to you this abomination, a child, conceived in love and constant misery. I scrapped whatever gear and currency I could from my previous characters and here it is. Leap slam is a main clear tool, vaal smite/smite is used as a emergency damage button and dps bump for bosses; for the curses I use selfcast Flammability and Alchemist Mark-On-Hit.

A few people have been talking about the potential of ephemeral edge, trying to work around the low attack speed. One way to not care about attack speed is to do ignite build. This has several big more multipliers, a decently fun playstyle if you don't mind slow slamming, big aoe from elementalist and huge tanky potential from a fat ES pool. It also scales very well with gear. Warning: super slow attacking melee build, certainly not for everyone (it might even just be unplayable). In the upcoming league they are buffing the Tawhoa's chosen buff in the Chieftain tree from 50% more damage to 100 , so i wanted to play around with the idea of having a slam ignite build. My build idea is to use slams and the second attack of Tawhoa's chosen to inflict a huge double burn utilizing Emberwake. On paper it seems ok. With non permanent buffs disabled on a 5 link I hit \~900k ignite DPS. 229% increased life, good armor and a defensive aura, stance and banner. Does anyone have any recommendations for the build? I've been out of the game for a few leagues, so I may be missing some
