PoE 3.23 Affliction Cast when Damage Taken, Cold builds

I like leaguestarting Cold DoT occultist, and been toying with this PoB since vortex rework. This will work up to some point, but damage is a bit lackluster for voidstone bosses. Would appreciate some ideas on how to scale, without losing much on defenses. (pob got budget and default options)

PoB: Pretty late in the league so this probably won't get much traction, but I wanted to post this anyways as this is one of the most fun builds I've ever played. I won't claim there's anything super unique here as the core is just a pretty bog-standard power charge stacker, but I am surprised at how relatively underused CSoP is cause this thing hits like a truck (albeit a smaller truck than Penance Brand I guess lol). As I approach the end of my first campaign run, I've spent several hours in PoB trying to make an Ice Shot Deadeye build and would appreciate any feedback on whether I've missed any glaring gameplay mechanics, adjustments etc that could enhance the playstyle further. So today I decided to revisit my eternity shroud build idea after playing brands all league so far and getting bored of it. My idea is to use the new glacial cascade since gc is my favorite skill.
