PoE Heavy Strike, Melee builds

This build is a work in progress there is still a lot of work and testing to be done but i thought I'd share what I've been playing with for those who don't know how or are struggling to build behemoth i hope this helps Please keep in mind that the current version of this build still has lots of holes that need patching!

I was testing a slow strike build. So I had the idea of using The Impaler. So for that I would prefer damage over speed. Going the Heavy Strike pure Phys route with Magnate to make Double/Triple Damage chance. And also trying to get 90% res with convert from phys to elm to make a really tank build. I tried with really basic gear in a 5-L setup (Ancestral Call is for the ascendancy and the configs for Max Res, Cold/Lightning Res and 33% more damage are also for ascendancy), so there is also the increase of the Trauma Support. PoB doesn't calculate Impales you inflict on Non-Impaled Enemies

I know, it's a long title so I'll explain. The idea of the build is stacking as much as possible fire resistance to get 90 max all elemental resistances with the new chieftain nodes. In addition, we will transform the overcapped fire resistance to armour increase using The formless flame helmet (later on maybe the grasping mail mod). Transforming most of the physical damage taken to elemental (lightning coil + watcher eye mod + taste of hate?) and since we will have at least 400K armour, we will be able to stack many trauma stacks for raw physical damage. PoB: This is my first league playing a slam build, been reworking it as I go. Right now it's clearing T14 maps with ease, not nearly finished yet but wanted to share the progress anyways. Pros: Huge slams which vaporize normal mobs Can permastun rare/map bosses Tanks massive hits with Fortify and Molten Shell Easy to gear Cons: Chaos damage is dangerous Not as fast as other builds Not a one button build. One skill for clear, one skill for single target, plus casting totems/buffs/curses as needed.

Work In Progress Vaal Ground Slam handles normal mobs with ease. Heavy Strike for single target DPS. Decoy/Rejuvenation Totem for bosses. Ascendancy, Determination, and Endurance Charges for tank. CAMPAIGN Act 1 Priorities: 2H Axe/Gems - Iron Rings - Life Flasks - MS Boots - Jade Amulet & Leather Belt. You'll be slightly squishy in Act 1. Stay moving to avoid projectiles, use slam on grouped up mobs, and spam Decoy Totem on bosses. Use 2H Axes until getting Skull Cracking skill at level 30 or you find a good rare mace. pob: 84% explode chance (sublime vision + chest + weapon) ; 99% with devastator, but this cannnot chain 99% double damage chance (gem + helm enchant + watcher eye + clusters + tree + timeless jewel) build is pretty scuffed, but ill put in more stuff like bottled faith and animate guardian once i get more money.
