PoE Scourge Arrow, Fire builds

After seeing Mathil's VD build, I threw together a scuffed Cyclone CWC VD build using corpsewalker on an elementalist I already had leveled just to try it out and I loved it. How the skill looks and the general mechanic interactions was really fun. So I decided to attempt to put together a league starter version. I've tried different ascendancies and different setups like spell slinger, poet's pen, cyclone, etc but couldn't really make it work until I came upon Asenath! I tried out the skill interaction and it felt very similar to spellslinger using scourge arrow cwc VD with desecrate inside

I have been playing a Pathfinder, Caustic Arrow Ballista poison build for a bit now and I am liking it a lot. It was not my league starter, but I am thinking of starting it next league as my only character. ( i normally roll a bunch and get bored of it in T16s.) All the gear is super cheap and available. My question is around elevating it more than it is. I think that it is pretty much at a plateau as the upgrades are super expensive, but I was hoping there was some weird interaction that I was missing that would up the DPS.
