DISCLAIMER: This isn't meant to be a guide but a proof of concept. While I did play this character straight from day 1 of the league, I don't really recommend it early because it's a bit clunky before Divergent Berserk and Lethal Pride appeared on trade which was around day 3, and also the playstyle is really active. Frostbolt ice nova battlemage seems like a really fun direction to take the new ascendancy, but there seem to be a lot of limiting factors on it in either the 2h or wander varieties. 2H - this seems best as a pure ice nova build, since pledge of hands is very nice, but cwc cyclone seems unappealing since cwc can be awkward with charging fanaticism. Snap casting cyclone every second seems very tedious.
