I plan on skipping the usual 6-link setup and i'm going to be using a duel 5link unleash setup with 2x Eye of Winter gems. (the seals recharge themselves independently so it works as you'd want it to) This is to bypass the mana multiplier increase on support gems and the damage reduction on the usual damage support gems that patch 3.15 is bringing. HOW TO LEVEL UP TO 38? We want to level up with freezing pulse from the start. Link freezing pulse with arcane surge Use frostbomb Use clarity Use precision according to chance to hit (lvl up only until you have 100% cahcne to hit and no more) Use a % spell damage recipe for wands for a slight boost of damage: magic wand + whetstone + magic/rare/unique chain belt This will give around 30% spell damage with magic belts, around 50% with rare belts and around 70% with unique belts +1 cold wands or big flat spell damage is still the best Requirements

I'm working on an Eye of Winter build because frozen orb was awesome in D2 and I want to try it out here. With the nerfs to everything, I figure this is as good a time as any to experiment with a new skill! I see two ways to build this, you can either go cast speed + crit or you can go unleash and ignore cast speed. I built both out in PoB, but cast speed seemed more promising. Eventually you can probably transition into dual void batteries once you get enough currency. I went Occultist here, but Assassin would also probably work well. Deadeye might be good too! Thoughts? I'm decently experienced with creating builds in PoB and I'm bored waiting for the league so here we go. Just write a few keywords for the build like: Eye of winter, deadeye, selfcast, freeze immune. Basically use a Hopeshredder with battlemage, for insane damage and kill everything. Replica Maloney's Mechanism maintains both frenzy and power charges Alt Quality Ensnaring arrow gives us 20% more spell damage, and builds our fanaticism Relatively cheap budget for the dps potential infinite mana with EB One thing is that this build has pretty much no defenses, so if you guys can give me hints on how to add defenses to the build that would be good
