I was working on a molten strike chieftain starter and ended up coming up with this: &x200B; The defenses look pretty nice, and I was planning to replace 2 of the skill gems with returning projectiles and trauma support when they get added. I wasn't really sure how to get the correct dps in pob for molten strike so I'm just hoping it's significantly higher than what the number I got is lol. &x200B; Any suggestions to improve this? Going non crit for league start cause it just seemed easier.

I was testing a slow strike build. So I had the idea of using The Impaler. So for that I would prefer damage over speed. Going the Heavy Strike pure Phys route with Magnate to make Double/Triple Damage chance. And also trying to get 90% res with convert from phys to elm to make a really tank build. I tried with really basic gear in a 5-L setup (Ancestral Call is for the ascendancy and the configs for Max Res, Cold/Lightning Res and 33% more damage are also for ascendancy), so there is also the increase of the Trauma Support. PoB doesn't calculate Impales you inflict on Non-Impaled Enemies

Want to try out Flicker Strike next league so i decided to make myself a flicker strike chieftain, probably as my leaguestarter. I have never played flicker strike before so any advice or feedback is appreciated. Will go for chieftain ascendancy nodes for strikes and melding. Tawhoas seems to be RLY good flicker strike next patch right ? Will probably change into voidforge flicker later on in the league so if anyone has some tips or PoBs for that would be appreciated. I wanted to try a new build this league and the new chieftain. It's clear that the new chieftain should use the two fire resistance nodes so for this build we will stack a lot of fire resistance. By that we will have 90% elemental maximum resistances. In addition, we will use the mod: "Armour is increased by Overcapped Fire Resistance" first on a formless flame helmet and eventually on a grasping mail to gain a lot of armour and physical mitigation. I know, it's a long title so I'll explain. The idea of the build is stacking as much as possible fire resistance to get 90 max all elemental resistances with the new chieftain nodes. In addition, we will transform the overcapped fire resistance to armour increase using The formless flame helmet (later on maybe the grasping mail mod). Transforming most of the physical damage taken to elemental (lightning coil + watcher eye mod + taste of hate?) and since we will have at least 400K armour, we will be able to stack many trauma stacks for raw physical damage. Hi All. Preamble first...I'm fully aware I won't have the exact items in this build. I should be able to get a decent 3 mod watchers since I have a ton of auras, but I'm aware it 99.99% won't be exactly the one I have listed. I know I should swap the spiked gloves since eater/exarch overwrite, but I'm lazy so I just took off the melee phys. I wanted to try my hand at making a fire resistance/armour stacking chieftain. I tried to make the gear pretty realistic, the megalomaniacs are just placeholders for the introspection node, the second node could be a lot of different good things. Only thing missing now is damage haha although I think with the new tawhoa and the ancestral call nodes the damage will be significantly better. there are a few details that i think can be worked out while playing the char like mana through leech nodes or eldritch implicits. Pobbin link here. Idea is that I can scale fire res to high heavens for All res, Armour, and life regen. Then convert that armour to Damage with replica dreamfeather. replica dreamfeather isn't too bad to solo farm. Formless flame as well. Getting red nightmare will probably be a nightmare.
