I was looking back at my first ever PoE character and found it hilarious so I wanted to share it. The year is 2018. I am playing Path of Exile for the first time. This expansion introduces Niko, a miner who will ask you to stop playing the game and go mine rocks for him instead. The words "loot filter" mean absolutely nothing to me. I play as a Witch, the spellcasting character. I want to primarily use fire spells or maybe lightning, not curses or minions, so I obviously choose the Elementalist ascendancy, once I've finally unlocked it. And I tested it. Works surpirisingly well, tested in standard, can do all content. Deletes bosses despite my PoB showing only 5m DPS, test setup had around \~3m, map clear is very nice. PoB: Exsanguinate + Arcanist Brand From what I saw, Exsanguinate doesn't seem like an amazing spell to self-cast. Spell Totems seem like the obvious solution, but I think Arcanist Brands will provide the smoothest playstyle. Exsanguinate doesn't seem to suffer from its downsides (a lot). Question: Is the DoT debuff affected by the damage reduction from Arcanist Brand? I can see it going both ways depending on how one interprets the wording. If not, this could turn out godly. Hey guys, been theorycrafting a Trickster Low-life reap build since seeing the skill in action + the changes to low-life and the addition of petrified blood, and I wanted to see what others thought/get suggestions etc. PoB: Substitutes used: Soulrend in place of Reap, which I believe will have similar damage scaling from 1-20 considering their base damage at level 1 are nearly identical. Config: Intimidate and negative resists is from Belt of the deciever+Eye of Malice (Animate guardian) Playing around with the resist-shredding capabilities of elementalist. Any thought? Need source of blind. Possibly: Blind on hit gloves, or work blind support into CWDT links. Abhorrent Interrogation as gloves would be nice DPS boost. Maybe self-cast bone offering, since BO/Crem/VD would consume all my desecrated corpses, leaving none behind for damage bonuses (nearby corpses)?

I was wondering if Battlemage would scale well into the endgame, and I think I found a shell that has a lot of potential. Eternity Shroud pairs well with Inquisitor's Inevitable Judgment ignoring all elemental resistances, and allows you to add a lot of flat elemental damage in many slots without worrying about penetration or curses. Seems to reach 280m damage from a 20 stack Penance Brand with temporary buffs like Divergent Berserk, but still 100+ m without. The items seem quite feasible to craft now with Harvest, although probably really hard next league. I also included non-physical version

Plan is a 3-4 man party, 2 of them are playing some jank dps carry with the tornado combo.
