I was looking back at my first ever PoE character and found it hilarious so I wanted to share it.

The year is 2018. I am playing Path of Exile for the first time. This expansion introduces Niko, a miner who will ask you to stop playing the game and go mine rocks for him instead. The words "loot filter" mean absolutely nothing to me.

I play as a Witch, the spellcasting character. I want to primarily use fire spells or maybe lightning, not curses or minions, so I obviously choose the Elementalist ascendancy, once I've finally unlocked it. The Labyrinth is really hard because it makes you start over every time you die.

I acquired all my gear myself. I saved every unique I picked up. I found the Cloak of Flame unique robe which looked really cool. Even I could tell it was not optimal, especially because it only had four sockets, but it did look really really cool. My resistances are not capped. Not even close. And that's without Act 10 Kitava, since I only got through to act 8 before getting bored of the grind. My total play time is about 45 hours. None of my gear has any crafted modifiers because Master Crafting was complicated and I didn't have enough reputation with any of the masters. I am level 65. I have three life flasks (two sanctified, one hallowed), a silver flask, and a mana flask. I am under the impression that "Increased Fire Damage" will affect the damage of my Flame Golem. I am under the impression that "Increased Spell Damage" and "Increased Fire Damage" will stack multiplicatively with each other. I am under the impression that there is no difference between "50% increased damage" and "50% more damage". I have just deduced that a skill that "Cannot Ignite" still cannot ignite even if it has +25% chance to ignite. My gloves are magic rarity. My boots do not have movement speed on them.
