Been kicking around the idea Hierophants a lot in the past few months, but haven't really had anything spark yet. I'm liking this idea, and certainly have the funds to make it (the cluster jewels don't look like they'll be too pricey, and I've got most of the gear sorted). I'm currently running frost bolt/ice nova, and the damage is good enough (deathless a5 sirus was easy peasy), but the clear is mediocre despite huge AoE because the spell combo requires a significant amount of standing in place. Additionally when things get hectic it's really easy to miss casting a frost bolt which can end up with me either casting ice nova with no frost bolts (which is much lower dps) or casting ice nova on frost bolts that are already really far from me (frequently resulting in dying). Was talking to someone in the poe subreddit about Lightning Warp today, and tinkering around with a LW build gave me ideas for another build. Introducing, the CWDT 50% MoM Hierophant. We use Tempest Shield and get a ton of block via Glancing Blows and some good block nodes. Sports around 1.2k mana regen. Normally CWDT would be pretty worthless on a block build, but thanks to Glancing Blows, we take half the damage we block, meaning we can still reliably trigger our spells. Shit net, want to play but having issues right now. So I wanted to finally take the time to mess around with the idea of using the Unyielding Flame shield. Since my latency is high and unstable, I wanted to go the route of being CWDT with various other fire skills. This is not with top tier gear, mostly just rares with a little life and mana.
