This was my worst leaguestart to date.
Everything that I cheesed, flipped and invested into got nerfed or nuked. The saving grace was dropping 7 raw divines on the ground and around 100c, which allowed me to swap to ES. This is the total cost of the swap ( 1 Divine = 250-300c ).
Crafting good gear with fossils ( dense in particular ) is EXTREMELY expensive now. Shields with good damage are also expensive. Good items in general are just way harder to get, much harder than in leagues prior to Keepers. Maybe it's just a matter of adapting to the situation, so I'm hoping it will be much better next league and later into the progression.
The way I crafted my gloves and my chest piece was using THE VISION ( aka alt spamming alongside using chaos orbs, regals and exalts ).
Vision crafting is honestly pretty fun, you can rely less on trade / on other people's overpriced trash. I still had to gather most of my items from trade, but I didn't have to and I also found them pretty cheap in regards to the market's usual price range.
Out of all the ES swaps, this one feels the weakest in terms of ES. 6.6k ES is not good, my usual ES value is 8k+ in a league.
The best part is that, since I am now a pseudo-trapper, I could run with a 7k ES pool and not worry too much about it. Playing at range is the biggest buff Cold DoT has received and makes it extremely safe to pilot. On top of this, the damage is really good and the scaling potential is much stronger now, since Siphoning Trap of Pain is a spell and a trap at the same time.
As additional notes:
I have a few more small things to upgrade and add. This is sort of "done", but it's good enough. I am missing some speed from quality, some evasion and the ancestral vision setup. Once I do these things, it's going to last for level 100 most likely.
The last support gem in my 6L setup is the new awakened support gem, called Invention. This one needs more testing. I will use it and see what happens, but if this support doesn't provide any damage for mapping and bossing right now, it can be easily swapped for Hypothermia. I am saying this because there are certain mechanics behind it that need to be taken care of and I can't do that currently.
