TL;TR 100% lightning to chaos with phantasmal spark and voltaxic rift, hierophant mana based build with archmage, 50-60% MoM, agnostic, lots of mana regen, lots of fun. Pros: high eHP (8.7k), high life & mana regen, 100% chaos damage Cons: prone to oneshots (low life pool), res hungry (cuz of uniques) &x200B; I didn't play (vaal) valtaxic spark when it was popular (some time ago) so I decided to try to make one now that it isn't as powerful/viable (I'm smort). First, phantasmal spark gives 40% lightning to chaos conversion, combined with Voltaxic rift you get 100% lightning to

With the rising popularity of self-chill builds I was thinking about using that with raider. The thought process is to benefit from the dodge tankiness of raider + using Voltaxic Rift's shock with ice shot. Damage will be split between lightning & ice for trinity, as well as some added chaos damage. Also thinking of using The Taming for the increase hit damage for each ailment affecting the enemy. With my PoB I have 81% chance to shock and 66% chance to ignite. Thoughts?

I usually don't follow through with POB to an entire build, just slap it in and see if it works and go play once I'm confident with it. This one, however, I built all the way to 85 in POB because I was couldn't really decide how 9 golem, voltaxic archmage max shock, big boom chaos burn fireballs would work. Replica maloneys would be an easy way to sustain fanaticism (if it counts as you attacking). Other ascendancy options did not get added so damage could change. &x200B; Here is a POB of a build that utilizes templar. It's expensive, but it also shows the potential. I only included battle mage by changing voltaxic rift damage to spells damage. If Replica Maloneys triggers fanatics, this would be an excellent option.
