PoE Trickster, Melee builds

Hey guys, I just wanted to make sure with experts that I understood everything correctly : I'm playing Frost Blades Trickster in SSF (leaguestarted it... it went how you can guess). However I got to farming T16, still getting slapped by Essences because for some reasons i have 159 armor etc but that not what this post is about. As a fellow SSF enjoyer I spend quite a bit of time in Heist, and I got as usual \[\[The Admiral\]\] At first I thought "yeah... seems cool but wont use it" but then I thought about elemental equilibrium (that I can take right away, i'm pathing in front of it anyway

Cross post to a post i made in r/poeruthelss take into account this is an idea for ruthless and try not to mock me too hard, i know im supremely high on copium/hopium. I made a thing: Smite Trickster Energyblade. Take it with a huuuge grain of salt when it shows 3 support links and all auras i want, gear is unstatted and the attack mastery is a placeholder for tribal fury mastery. I really.. really.. want smite to be a thing for me this league, even in ruthless, so i fell opon this thing that might not be absolute horseshit.

The idea is: freezing everything on screen is a defensive layer, probably very good in the Sanctum Frost Blades is getting a huge increase to added damage % so let's try to build around it. Ailments don't care about resistances on hit and whatnot, just base damage, so high added damage is good. Heatshiver gives up to 130% added cold damage as fire if we can freeze things. Hence Expedition's End for %as more damage freezes and Southbound + freeze duration stacking. This all means we can inflict 1 second freeze on Pinnacle bosses with attacks. So this is not a build showcase, it's a work in progress, I'm looking for feedback on how to make the character more powerful without heavy investment - I'm a casual player so I can sink a few more divines in at most. Basically the idea is to do the Snakebite/Frenzy stacking thing, but go crit poison because Emperor's Vigilance, Seething Fury give a ton of extra crit multi, kind of like the Nightblade poison builds. I'm also getting a bunch of crit chance from self-blind with Second Sight Keystone, good synergy because you don't need a high dps weapon since your shield is doing all your damage
