Goratha's Notes

WEEK TWO UPDATE AND NOTES!! CURSES, WHEN AND WHY WE ARE USING THEM -Currently I am using Warlord's Mark while mapping to generate rage, this is consistent and you can run Berserk for maps as well -However it doesn't really stun bosses well enough so the rage generation there is inconsistent, at best -This is where Punishment curse comes in, it's a red gem as well and it happens to be the best single target curse for this build! -It only comes into effect when the monster is low life (<50%) HOW DO WE GET RAGE WITHOUT WARLORD'S MARK? -There is a few ways, which I chose not to go for but I will mention here anyways -Vengeance + Rage linked, you hit yourself with trauma, so this always goes off on CD, the issue with this is it stacks rather slow on bosses -Rage gloves, this would have to replace Tanu Ahi, which I personally don't think is worth, since Adrenaline and Onslaught uptime are quite good -Forbidden Flesh and Forbidden Flame Crave the Slaughter... this one would work but I am not sure if it is worth it -There is also Rage gem, but this also just doesn't seem worth it, so I went with the curse swap for bosses in the end JUGGERNAUT'S UNBREAKABLE AND IRON REFLEXES -This is a big one, I didn't realize this but last league GGG updated this node to apply to Evasion bases IF you have Iron Reflexes on the tree -This is VERY INSANE, this allows us to use a hybrid chest and get Suppression which frees up a lot of points and/or tattoos -I managed to exalt +50 dex as well and used it to change all the dexterity points into %life and %aura effect from tattoos -Iron Reflexes seems quite worth it especially with Heatshiver and Tanu Ahi having evasion already HOW TO CRAFT THE SAID CHEST (I recommend armor/evasion if you can get a fractured base) **There is TWO ways to go about this depending on whether or not you use an armor base or an armor/evasion base -THE ARMOR BASE, this is the original Glorious Plate craft, the way you do this is by starting with an Ilvl 86 Glorious Plate (for t1 armor rolls) -Dense fossil spam until you hit t1 armor and t1 % armor with an open prefix -Proceed to use an Eldritch Ichor on it to enable Eldritch Anull to remove the Suffixes safely -Once you have t1/t1 armor mods by themselves you can proceed with multi-mod, PREFIX, and SUFFIX can't be changed -Then you reforge Physical modifiers with harvest craft, this will guarantee that you hit Physical Damage reduction... it's 4-8% with equal weight, hopefully you don't hit 4 -After this you recraft multi-mod and craft Suppression and Physical damage taken as fire and lightning -It's done here but you could always try to anull the multi-mod and slam an exalt, but that seems excessive -The ARMOR/EVASION BASE (RECOMMENDED) -Start with an Ilvl 86 Armor/Evasion base (Triumphant Lamellar, Full Dragonscale, or General's Brigandine are all similar) -IDEALLY you have fractured Suppression, this is MUCH easier to craft -That being said finding a fractured t1 suppression ilvl 86 base will be very hard as it doesn't happen naturally often and you might have to fracture it yourself **I personally settled on a ilvl 85 t2 fractured suppression chest (HC trade is limited) -It starts off the same way, you spam Dense Fossils until you hit t1/t1 armor/evasion with no other prefix, and then you wipe the suffixes with eldritch -BIG difference is you multi-mod, PREFIX can't be changed, and craft a PREFIX instead (to block) -Then you do harvest reforge physical, this again will give you PDR -At this point it might have rolled another suffix already, if not though, reblock the prefix and use an exalted orb and hopefully you get a useful stat -Finished by crafting Physical damage taken as fire/lightning FRENZY CHARGES AND WHERE TO GET THEM -There is a few ways, initially I planned on using Marked for Death with the mastery, this works, but since I am swapping curses on bosses, we need another way now -Poacher's mark could be used instead of Punishment, this would generate frenzies as well, but there is better ways -Frenzy charge gained when unique enemy is nearby chest implicit (this works well because we have Blood Rage for frenzies while mapping) - this does take time to ramp -Anomalous Blood Rage with 2% on hit to gain a frenzy, this might be the best option since it doesn't require anything to change, BUT it is expensive gem and still requires ramp THE SHIELD (and how to craft it!) -Early on you can use Dawnbreaker as a temporary item to help with trauma stacks -The end-game shield is a rare though, they have quite a bit of power -START with an Armor/Evasion base that has Fractured Spell Suppression (ideally Cardinal Round Shield) -Reforge Physical Modifiers from harvest to get PDR and Max Res, Max Chaos Res, or another good stat like high chaos res or accuracy -Suffix can't be changed and reforge defense modifiers, you are looking for high life, armor/evasion rolls -This part can brick if you roll 3 prefixes, and you'll have to try to remove a prefix and try again if this happens. THE RAMPING AND HOW TO DEAL WITH TRAUMA STACKS -This build has INSANE ramp, this is mostly the nature of trauma, and it is also because of divergent trauma giving attack speed per stack -The second reason is the "Cold Mastery" Enemies take 5% increased damage per second for every second they have been frozen (up to 50%) -It takes 10 seconds to reach the maximum freeze (we are basically freezing every boss) -Essentially this means to reach maximum damage we have to be attacking for 10 seconds, at the point of the gear in this POB the only time mobs live that long is generally Pinnacle bosses PANTHEONS -Gruthkul for %physical damage reduction if you've been hit recently -This stacks when you hit yourself up to 5% and you hit 9 times a second -I use Lunaris for mapping, Arakaali might be better for some DOT mitigation though THE TRAUMA STACKS ARE KILLING ME?! -This is because you have too much attack speed, duration, trauma gem level, and not enough physical damage mitigation -I am able to currently tank 130+ tanks at gem level 20 in TOTA with the gear in this POB CHARACTER SHEET IS LYING TO YOU!! -You do NOT have 90% Physical Damage Reduction with just Armor, this is based off a hit from a normal monster, at 100 stacks you are taking over 16,000 dmg per hit (unmitigated) this more than Shaper Slam per attack! -Armor is less effective against larger hits, we need PDR, Physical Damage taken As Ele, and things like Arctic Armor to mitigate it as this point - this also makes the armor you do have more effective as you reduce the hit! GLACIAL HAMMER VS BONESHATTER -Glacial Hammer has a few big advantages over Boneshatter in my opinion -It freezes EVERYTHING, and chills bosses for 30% if they can't be frozen -It has BUILT-IN 33% cull on hard rares -The min-max version doesn't need Ashes of the Stars, which frees up the amulet for things like Eternal Damnation, which is HUGE for defensive purposes -You can wear a SHIELD, these have insane stats like spell suppresion and PDR -It is very cheap to set-up early on, the uniques in the build are all basically free at this point in the league (other than Taste of Hate, or Damnation in HC trade)
