Overview
3.16 BAMA - is it still alive? is a Path of Exile Ascendant build by Pr3vie, made for the Scourge league (3.16). It is centered on Mirror Arrow and plays as a dexterity, attack, minion, duration archetype. In Path of Building it reaches 28.91M DPS with 5.18K life, 716 energy shield. Suited for: Simulacrum, Blight, Ultimatum, Breach, Harvest, Essence. Key uniques include Quill Rain, Hands of the High Templar, Darkness Enthroned, The Devouring Diadem, Rigwald's Quills.

► Yo, had some things to take care, sorry for the delays!
So title? Yep, still alive, but 3.15 and 3.16 realy did hurt the dps. I still managed to get slightly higher dps this league than last league on my Guardian Bama while playing with a Quill Rain. So overall I am happy with the results. We also got some buffs - yay. There is alot more Skill Effect duration available now, pushing our Clone duration from ~6.8s to ~8.4s.
This is again a Scion lifebased BAMA version. Very similiar to my Ultimatum Scion but with a few tweaks. Scion can still easily pick up EE and we can combine it with Elementalists Exposure, instead of Champion, to still achieve -45% ele Res on targets that we hit. I am also using the crafted Chest that I first introduced in Ultimatum on my Soulwrest and Bama characters.
For survivabillity I am using Grace/Vaal Grace, Cast when Damage Taken/ Immortal Call, Defiance Banner and 100% Ele Ailment and Stun Immunity and ~45% Spell Suppression.
It features my usual stuff like Militant Faith with 220 Devotion this time around some new stuff like Unnatural Instinct to pick up a bunch of qol stats like cast speed, attack speed, life and movement speed.
Quill Rain is the weapon of choice for this league with "7% chance to deal triple damage" Krangle. A top end crafted, double damage synth mod bow will still give you 20-30% more damage, but Quill Rain with Krangle easily competes with a decently crafted Bow. Honestly Quill Rain is so much fun to play with.
Because we have so much Proj Speed with Quill Rain we can justify using Rigwalds Quiver this league. This way we can swap out the usual Fork Support for Chain/Awakened Chain and just blast screens instantly with thousands of arrows. Chain corrupted Rigwalds are also pretty cheap this league!
The CI version is dead until further notice. Infact Necro as Bama Ascendancy is also "dead" to me. Necro ust doesn't provide enough after the Aura nerfs to justify it over Scion, Guardian and even Occultist (see below).

► Bonus!
I am currently playing a Chaos Bama! Yep, "Chaos"!, its fairly new and I have still a few things to figure out. Video probably... maybe...soon... copium
If you can't wait, here are my current PoBs, both come with 81% chaos res Divine Flesh and Purity of Elements + Defensive Aura + Defiance Banner + Precision.
Reasons to play the chaos Bama:
- most of the damage comes from items, so staying in aura range isn't as important
- the strongest corpse explosions in PoE, especially with Replica Stampetes, great for Uber Blight and Breach
- off meta as fuck
- better protection against chaos and elements compared to the Scion
- needs less awakened gems = cheaper
- nobody wants Envy Auls, so even cheaper
- can use Breathstealer
- cheaper overall
Cons:
- slower
- slower
- slower
► Version 1: https://pastebin.com/iALxNmck
Cheaper, needs a Mana Flask + Annoint to sustain, higher single target, lower cooldowns, needs to ramp up power charges, has to use Totems for Wither, locked into Determination + Moltenshell due to socket issues, clear isn't as smooth and explosion not as strong as version 2.
► Version 2: https://pastebin.com/p0Y8RZ3v
Needs Enlighten 4, runs Clarity instead of mana flasks, 0.15 sec more cd on clones, uses Replica Stampete instead = strongest explosions = smoother clear and we save 2 sockets, doesn't lean as heavily into crit, uses Withering touch instead of Totems for Wither (corruption interaction + minions is questionable), can go either Grace or Determination, has a socket for support Vaal Skills like Vaal Haste or Vaal Blight, slightly less single target than version 1.
I started with version 2, now I am testing version 1. Version 2 felt better for clear and Simulacrums and was just more enjoyable to play, but version 1 has more single target, pick your poison or tweak it to fit your needs.
The crafting process for the chaos bow:
- buy synth bow with as many damage mods as possible
- Envy Essence until t1 attack speed (very annoying step, 4-5c per try atm)
- annul until only attack speed and the essence mod remain (good luck, very annoying)
- Multimod + Prefix cannot be changed + Suffix cannot be changed
- Veiled Chaos Orb, don't unveil yet
- remove crafted mods
- craft % Phys mod to block Phys veiled options
- now unveil to get 100% chaos pen and remove the crafte Phys mod
- Multimod Minion Damage + Minion Attack Speed
- non-speed to speed Harvest craft to replace the Multimod with Proj Speed
Took me about ~20ex total.
