PoE Storm Brand, Templar builds without Mageblood

Been kicking around the idea Hierophants a lot in the past few months, but haven't really had anything spark yet. I'm liking this idea, and certainly have the funds to make it (the cluster jewels don't look like they'll be too pricey, and I've got most of the gear sorted). I look forward to when my connection to the servers isn't being shite, so I can get this character rolling (That AoE is going to feel juicy)

POB: Looking into playing dark pact totem as a starter that can scale into end game. With trash gear, lv17 gems, and a 5 link this should do 500K dps. Which can scale to 5.5m dps with investment. Defense is MoM, HP, ES, and the totem play style. Debating between swapping out zealotry for vaal discipline if I feel squishy. Anyone have experience with DP totems? Main thing is I am sure the build will feel very clunky until getting astral projector. Hopefully not unplayble clunky.

Hi and welcome to my first really build that is fonctional, omg i did it ! :) All gear are pretty average rolls, nothing fancy so there is a lots of improovement for life and def in general. - Pros : Decently tanky Reasonable and easy damage and scaling without much investment ~4+ million shaper dps with all buff and effect applied - Cons !? : A bit of skill to use carrion golem probably have to be recast once in while manual cast descecrate and spirit offering but its fine its only too boost on boss mostly rallying cry (doesnt add that much) orb of storm for curse (doesnt add that much

Important notes Mana regen % anywhere you can get it from is really really good - start with clarity and replace it with herald of thunder once you get enough mana regen Gloves w/ spell damage leeched as ES are a huge survivability boost. Surgeons prefix on flasks is stupidly OP (we have 100% crit chance and fast cast speed so this is insanely good for us and gives the flasks massive uptime on bossfights)
