PoE Chaos builds with custom stat filters

SO. im a bit stupid, and im sure some of these decisions are stupid, i have a few glaring issues, but to preface, im working on finding a jewel to cap my cold res, and im aware my anoint is for dual wield, the build guide from kobe i was following suggested dual wield would be ideal with this anoint but as soon as i go dual wield i turn into a feather, i have 0 defence and just cant progress when im that weak, as fun as the damage is its not worth dropping this shield which has become crucial for my survivability and a bit of a crut

Only a proof-of concept as I had a previously leveled witch. I haven't played a self-chill build before so I did some reading of possible builds. I know that people usually do it with Lightning/molten strike for attacks or spark for spells. I have another combo I want to try this with: Hydrosphere Vortex. The idea is to use vortex on m1 which should clear trash but also inflict a freeze/brittle on Hydro. Hydro has a bunch of extra levels + crit so should be good enough for map bosses/guardians. So I've been playing selfcast Hexblast ignite as an Inquisitor for my league starts for quite some time now, and I decided to take it to endgame. Ended up going Occultist and converting Ignite damage to Chaos with Blackflame and about 15m Ignite DPS (100m total damage per ignite). The character is very tanky as it has 90% all res, maxblock and is CI with Incandescent Heart for Extra Ele damage mitigation.
