Overview
This build focuses around the black cane node, which gives a massive amount of flat physical damage per phantasm summoned. We then maximize the number of phantasms we have and streamline the process for maintaining them so the build plays smoothly.
We then use a combination Queen's Hunger and Leash of Oblation to give us a permanent uptime on 3 offering skills with 90% increased effect of offerings. This is way more than you'd see even with the necromancer ascendancy which comes with 50% reduced effect of offerings. This will instantly caps our block, gives us 50% cast/attack/movespeed and almost 300% increased crit with 70% crit multi.
The only downside is if the offerings fall off we die thanks to the Death's offering ascendancy. Thankfully we have just enough duration so that doesn't happen. This has the unfortunate side effect of killing you if you rank up support gems outside of the hideout though so...don't do that. Channel your inner Jason Statham. If you do have the audacity to level up your chest skill gems in a map, quickly removing the armour and putting it back on should clear the buffs without killing you.
If you want to be a wimp though you can use the other Catarina node that doesn't kill you if you just want an extra 100% movespeed. Note that reduced buff duration map mods will NOT kill you as offerings will maintain their duration regardless. You may need to drop the 20% offering effect mod from Queen's hunger for the 20% duration one though to hit the breakpoint of a 15 second offering duration if you do this. The small node before Death's offering is what puts you over the edge cheaply.
Since Storm Burst scales off duration, we can leverage all this increased duration to boost damage. The build can work almost entirely off cheap uniques but has the ability to scale up if desired.
Offense
The amount of damage you can get from this build for the price is absurd. You can use either regular storm burst or the storm burst of repulsion. I used both in the video as a sample.
The budget version is pure lightning but the video version uses Unholy Trinity with an even split of phys/lightning/chaos damage so you can basically ignore resists for enemies or other damage reduction mods.
Do not put an offering skill with arcanist brand or it will override the one on your chest and kill you. Use volatile dead of seething.
Defense
The max hit for this build is probably its weakest feature but its tankier than it looks. You have a ton of recovery from corpse consumption tattoos, life on hit from either a watchers eye or a shaper ring. Regen from the offerings and the soulwrest and a trivial block cap.
The phantasms can also eat some hits for you as well, play around with the supports for them to see which gems are really necessary, I didn't do a ton of trial and error here.
Immortal call with all the duration stacking has essentially a 50% uptime so that will also mitigate a lot of damage you take if you can survive the first hit.
Finally, you can eventually convert 95-100% of cold/lightning damage to fire damage and max it out with purity of fire and some resist jewels. You will need a lethal pride with Tempered by War, a 15-20% watchers eye for cold/lightning to fire with purity of fire. This gets you to 90-95% (what I have in the video) but if you want 100% you can get a bound by destiny with 4 hunter items to convert 5-10% of elemental damage to chaos.
Conclusion
It works great, can be made cheaply. I put an unnatural instinct in the budget version to show that if you DO use one, don't put it on the left or you'll mess up the required skill duration. Its not necessary though. There's also some open jewel sockets you can do whatever you want with. Its pretty flexible.
Convert to cold if you want, run hatred and freeze things. Stay lighting for big shocks. Whatever really. You have so much damage it doesn't really matter. If anyone has any great ideas for boosting the max phys hit let me know though.
Thanks!
