Last time it was a hierophant, the issue was that absorption charges didn't apply as much of a benefit as theoretically thought, and additionally, I forgot that MoM only applies to life. Again like last time, this doesn't do very much damage, this time it deals more, but still not very consistently. So instead we decided to go with a juggernaut, and use two nebuloch maces. By getting up to 10 endurance charges, we can reduce elemental damage from hits by 20%, while also giving us a huge amount of base armor. We can also use the soul ripper flask, and the timeless keystone "The Traitor" to get 16 flask charges every 5 seconds, given our vaal molten shell with its supports and quality lasts over 15 seconds, we generate 48 flask charges, so as long as every 15 seconds, we get at least 2 more souls, we can have permanent uptime on vaal molten shell. Given we also have a total of over 140k armour, VMS has a total pool of 30k health, meaning 35% of damage dealt to us is taken through that skill. We combine a purity of fire, ice, and lightning to get over 83+ max res in each element. We also use a cyclopean coil and a veruso's battering ram to become unaffected by frozen, ignited, and shocked. We can additionally use a brass dome to take no additional damage from critical strikes. We combine this with fortify and infused channeling on our cyclone. We can then use flesh and stone, and permanently keep it on sand stance, so that nearby enemies are blinded. Since we are igniting, we can use an eye of innocence, we can also combine this with a cast when damage taken with firestorm hex touch and enfeeble. Sadly we are only able to get 5.8k life, however with all of our other defenses, we are still very, very tanky. In POB our effective hit pool is over 170k for all but chaos, where it is 82k.
