quick update on my league start, like I used to do in the past.

I started the league with Lightning BAMA, using the leaguestarter PoB from the doc. Overall it went about as well as it could. I pushed the setup a bit, started farming currency and doing some early crafting.

To be honest, I also wasted quite a bit of time experimenting. I tried things like Lioneye’s Glare + regular (non-transfigured) BAMA, and generally tested a lot of different ideas. I also spent a good amount of time in Standard looking at PoBs and trying various setups. This will need more time.

Right now I’m still pretty undecided about which version I ultimately want to play. I’m also a bit bummed about the heavy damage loss on Poison BAMA after the removal of the awakened gems. That was always my favorite version of the build.

All things considered, I definitely could have been a lot faster with my progress. Still, about ~42 hours into the league I had what I’d consider the core CI gear assembled, and that’s when I decided to pull the plug and swap the build over to CI using my defensive setup from last league.

The setup is fully functional now, albeit still a bit rough around the edges. The tankiness and clear feel very good already, and there’s a long min-max journey ahead to really push the build further. Every single gear piece will eventually need to be replaced for the build to reach its true potential.

The video shows my very first map after the swap - basically the test run to see if everything works and how it feels. Last league I swapped, when everything was borderline perfect. So this is quite a bit earlier.

This is more or less the baseline gear required for a successful swap.
