Detonate Dead of Scavenging is linked to Cast when Stunned so this build relies on both getting hit, and also having corpses of fallen enemies in order to trigger. Even though that sounds quite tedious, it's really not. It's a very pleasant walking simulator. I mainly use Tempest Shield to kill my first enemy in order to get the DD to start triggering. Tempest Shield is socketed in Crest of Desire to give it a bit of a damage boost and some additional chance to shock/spell block. After doing some experimentation and having 4 sockets left open I decided to add another Cast when Stunned setup for Flame Surge (Armageddon Brand of Volatility and Firestorm of Meteors felt good too). Though that being said, in my experience the tempest shield is more than enough and the four link could be put to better use such as having utility skills such as Enduring Cry to gain Brutal charges. That said, as I mentioned in the video, the mapping damage is more than sufficient and hence I chose not to generate Brutal charges. I'm using Ralakesh Impatience boots, therefore I went for as many charges (mainly Endurance) to get as much AoE and physical damage reduction as possible. That is why I have the HoA Circle of Nostalgia ring. It gives me Endurance charge, life, chaos resistance but also there really isn't any damage auras that would give a decent damage boost to DD of Scavenging. Argument can be made for a defensive aura such as Determination, but with all of the other defensive setups, this turned out to be much tankier than expected and IMO there is no need for it.
If one was to try to MF with this build I can see a case where the belt, gloves, one or both rings, body armor and life flask could be substituted for MF gear.
