I'm using a max roll Taste of hate with 67% increased effect and enough charge generation to have full uptime (even on bosses) and get 50% elemental damage from hits taken as cold plus Watchter's Eye and Sublime Vision for Purity of Ice to get the other 50%.

The mercenary mainly provides Malevolence and Eye of Fury, with no mercenary you would need to equip Eye of Fury yourself.

The main idea is to use the new cold mastery to gain Cold dot multy from cold res.
