Big Ducks's Notes

---------------------------------------- WARNING WARNING WARNING ---------------------------------------- This is a build made SPECIFICALLY for 100% Delirious Triple Beyond Juiced Maps. It doesn't do pretty much ANYTHING ELSE worthwhile for this money. It is NOT a bosser, it is NOT the fastest generic map clearer. That being said it does survive these maps extremely well and clears them extremely well for the investment put into it. I will do my best to keep this PoB updated as needed with new items or strategies that present themselves. If you have any issues or need guidance on this build join my discord, linked in the description of every one of my videos. Understand that I myself am not capable of helping so many people but the community is extremely helpful. That being said they are not there specifically to help you. They play the game just like you do and if you want to be successful in Path of Exile you have to put the work in. Don't expect them to be Google for you. --------------------- INTRODUCTION --------------------- Please check the most recent build guide on my YouTube channel at https://youtube.com/c/bigducks Liking my Videos and Subscribing to my YouTube channel help me to keep bringing you more content like this, if you just grab the PoB please consider giving me a like to help me out, I appreciate all of your support! Keep in mind there may be multiple videos per build, always look for the most recent video. Blade Vortex / Vaal Blade Vortex This is a build designed to take advantage of Physical Scaling Explosions through Asenath's Gentle Touch We use Physical -> Fire conversion as well as the Inquisitor Ascendancy to scale multiple powerful mechanics. There are 2 Distinct Versions of this build as well as 3 separate PoBs. Standard - 25-30~Ex and All Obtainable or Craftable Gear Low-Life - Has some potentially difficult to obtain Items but is stronger Expensive Version - Headhunter makes huge investment maps a joke, and Ashes is simply very good. ------------ RATINGS ------------ GOOD -> Clearing, Survival, Playstyle, Elemental Damage Taken, Trade League, Softcore, Physical Damage Taken MEH -> Movement Speed, Chaos Damage Taken, Cost, Damage Taken Over Time BAD -> Bossing, Solo Self Found, Hardcore DIFFICULTY OF PLAY - LOW Honestly, most of the time the game is just going to be gasping for air and barely clinging to life while you wait for all the damage to happen and the lag to stop, so you just spam buttons while that happens. ----------------------- CONFIGURATION ----------------------- The current configuration is set to reflect the damage you would do while clearing maps. THIS IS NOT A BOSSING BUILD. You can still kill bosses at the end of maps but it DOES NOT DO IT QUICKLY. It does not do any "PoB warrioring" and should reflect typical damage you could do during a map. You will need to adjust for any alt qualities that you don't have or your personal gem levels/qualities. --------------------------------------------- FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS --------------------------------------------- Q: Bandit? A: Kill All. --- Q: Pantheon? A: Brine King / Shakari (Fully Upgraded is important) --- Q: I can't find an item with those exact stats what do I do? A: This build takes a decent amount of shifting around stats and gear to be able to attain all of the stats we need. You will need to be clever with crafting or buying items to cover all of your bases. --- Q: How do I stop dying? A: BOSS SLAMS WILL KILL YOU ON ALMOST ANY BUILD. YOU CANNOT TANK BOSS ATTACKS IN PATH OF EXILE WITHOUT A *VERY* SPECIFIC BUILD. This build mainly relies on Aegis to replenish our Energy shield and a significant amount of Damage reduction through Maximum Resists and Armour. If you don't set up the build properly it will not survive. --- Q: How do I do more damage? A: The build should do sufficient damage as is, the only real way to scale this build and make the mapping experience faster is going to be through purchasing Headhunter. --- Q: What about Clusters? Do I HAVE to use them? A: For this build, yes. You have to use Mediums scaling Area to get the desired effect. --- Q: Forbidden Flame / Flesh? A: Take any of 3 different FF/FF, whichever one is Cheapest. Instruments of Virtue Pious Path Inevitable Judgement If for SOME reason you cannot get any of those, you can simply not take Inevitable Judgement and use the other 4 points. --- Q: My computer stops working when I try to run crazy Beyond Maps, what do? A: Google about improving performance in Beyond maps and look for reddit threads. Some things that work for me: Turning off Sound in game COMPLETELY as in disabling it. Turning Graphics to Minimum Making sure you don't have any other crazy programs going (recording etc) I have VERY good computer parts and I still get some slowdown and freezing when the BIG juice starts happening. There isn't much you can do but wait for the carnage to complete. --- Q: My question isn't in here, what do I do? A: Double check that you have looked through the video and this PoB. If you can't find it you can join my discord, linked in the description of all of my videos. Please remember that the people in the discord channels are very helpful but it is not their job to assist you. This is a knowledge based game and you have to put in the work to be successful. ------------------ LEVELING UP ------------------ This is NOT a build that you can level as. I highly suggest you level as any other Inquisitor build, gather your currency and transition to this. Notably Righteous Fire Inquisitor (Follow Pohx's Guide) has a similar tree and is very well tested for starting. Play that. ------------------------------ GENERAL PLAYSTYLE ------------------------------ This build is only really meant for doing super juiced 3x Beyond maps with specific Sextants etc so keep in mind that it won't perform properly outside of this specific scenario. The video guide will be MUCH better at showing how to do this but I will give you some basics. - Keep Blade Vortex at 10 Stacks by casting it whenever it hits full unleash charges. - Use Vaal Blade Vortex every so often. - Spam Vaal Molten Shell every single time it is up. - Occasionally use Flame Dash to proc Arcane Surge or for movement. - Move with Shield Charge. --------------------------- BUILD TRANSITIONS --------------------------- This build has multiple versions. Initially stick to the basic version, it performs perfectly fine and is a good starting point. If you can obtain the specific Skin of the Lords or Sentinel Chest that is required, go low-life immediately and skip the basic version. The finalized Expensive version of this build is basically just transitioning into using Headhunter + Ashes. ------------------- ASCENDANCY ------------------- Inquisitor - A powerful scaling Ascendancy that can make use of Hybrid Recovery, a unique Elemental Penetration mechanic as well as ways to scale spell damage and attack damage off of each other. NOTE: I am listing 5 Ascendancies here because we use a FF/FF for the 5th one. Sanctuary - This provides us constant Consecrated Ground while stationary, this combined with the next ascendancy allows us to have 100% uptime on Consecrated Ground Buffs. Pious Path - Causes the Effects of Consecrated Ground to Linger for 4 seconds, this plus Sanctuary means that as long as we briefly stop every 4 seconds we have permanent consecrated ground effect. Additionally this makes the life recovery from Consecrated ground Copy over to ES. It also increases the effect of Conc Ground. Righteous Providence - Provides Strength and Intelligence, also provides crit chance for the lowest of the two. Inevitable Judgement - A Unique Inquisitor scaling effect that causes Critical Strikes to completely ignore Elemental Resistances. Notably this makes it so that if we are critting, any effect that reduces enemy resistance is ALSO ignored. Instrument of Virtue - Provides Battlemage, this effect causes us to gain Added Spell Damage to ALL Spells based on the Damage of our Weapon. -------------------------------------------------- CRAFTING AND OBTAINING THE GEAR -------------------------------------------------- REMEMBER that you can always just buy all of the final pieces from the trade website. Crafting most of the time is cheaper. Typically leveling items or items in the "Budget" section that are just Life / Resists and that are not hard to obtain will not be included in this section. There will be items that simply aren't in need of detailed crafting notes, I will mention that in those cases. Weapons / Offhands Vulconus - A relatively cheap item that provides us substantial damage stats as well as the other 50% of our Phys -> Fire Conversion. Just buy one, you can get even a Frenzy on Kill Corrupted one if you want. Aegis Aurora - The Main defensive engine of the build. Causes us to replenish ES based on a % of our armour, we scale armour to help with this. Also provides Maximum cold resistance which allows us to scale Melding of the Flesh extremely well. Helmet Crown of the Inward Eye - This item drops off of Sirus, we use a 90% Mana Res corruption to help alleviate some mana pressure. If you can't obtain this corruption for some reason you'll need Level 4 Enlightens. The Corruption is almost assuredly Cheaper even if you do it yourself. Body Armour Early on you can use a Loreweave and drop the Melding of the Flesh if you're having issues getting resists, but this build isn't exactly cheap to begin so I don't suggest using budget gear on it. - Obtain an ilvl 100 Sacrificial Garb (Divination Card) and use a Redeemer's exalt on it (or buy a redeemer base). Roll with Alterations to obtain Frenzy Charge on Hit Buy any other Hunter base armour with T1 Spell Crit Chance NOTE: You can do this the opposite way depending on prices of either of those mods. Awakener Orb the NON Sacrifical Garb ONTO the Sacrificial Garb and hope you get a good 3rd Suffix or no suffix. If you Get NO Suffix and want a potentially good one you can craft Suffixes cannot be changed and use either a Fire or Lightning Reroll at a chance for a decent resistance roll. (Chaos / Cold have a chance to give you Influenced Prefixes so use at your own risk). Otherwise just hope one of the Once you have your suffixes set craft Suffixes cannot be changed and use a Harvest Caster Reroll to get +1 Curse. Craft Life or Gain ES from Life. Gloves Asenath's Gentle Touch is one of the main parts of the build. Can't really get around it unless you are wanting to try and use an Explody chest, which isn't as good since the explosions cant chain anymore. Buy it. Boots Grab any pair of boots with 3 suffixes that you want (I suggest Fugitive for Chaos Res). Use a Redeemer's Exalted Orb on the Boots (note that you MIGHT get Elusive here so if you want to grab ones with good Life on them already you might save a lot of headache. If you don't hit Elusive, craft Suffixes cannot be changed and use a Harvest Crit Reforge for Elusive. If you get no other mods, craft Suffixes cannot be changed and use an Aisling Slam for a 50/50 at removing the crafted mod. Craft a mod to block (check craftofexile) and hope to unveil Movement speed (very high chance) Craft Life and you're done. If you miss the Aisling Slam, repeat at Crit Reforge until you get it. Amulet Grab a Turquoise amulet with a fractured t1 or t2 dex mod. Use Essences of Scorn until you land a High Resist that you need and some good Prefixes, Craft whatever it is missing. Rings One ring will always be Circle of Anguish, go for whatever Implicits your builds needs. Second ring will mainly be for Resists, try to get as much Chaos res as you can. Belt Stygian with BIG Resists is your best bet here. Buy it is almsot always gonna be cheaper. Slot in a Phasing / Life / ES Jewel into the belt. Cluster Jewels Large Clusters You're looking for 2 Phys Clusters with specifically Battle-Hardened, Iron Breaker, and Force Multiplier. You can try to craft these with Phys Fossils or Harvest Phys re-rolls but buying is way easier. Medium Clusters These are hard to roll and you should buy them. If you can't get the exact combo do Magnifier and Towering Threat. Jewels This build uses basically all of the random powerful Unique Jewels Forbidden Flesh & Flame - Refer to the Ascendancy section. Watcher's Eye - Not super important but +Armour Determination is solid, try to grab a Zealotry %Dmg Inc or Crit Chance alongside it. Very Large Thread of Hope - Should be easy to obtain, saves us a ton of points. Unnatural Instinct - Extremely powerful but not needed. Inspired Learning - You need either this or Headhunter to make Triple Beyond 100% Delirious Comfortable. Without either you can do 80%. Melding of the Flesh - Allows us to get super high Max Res. You don't technically HAVE to have this but it makes you significantly tankier. ------------------------ FINAL THOUGHTS ------------------------ A build designed for a very particular purpose, and it achieves that quite well. Glad the Vulconus Inquisitor could live once again.
