Best anoints are ancient aegis (defensive), or fast acting toxins if you max stacks fast, or pure chaos, or some crit depedning on gear. Best early budget anoint is back in action (80% stun recovery, lowbie materials). Pick the crit nodes after the poison/generic attack nodes. You can pick ES nodes last of all, I did while leveling (depends on how glass-cannony you want to be). Supercritical support might be best at high critlevels. It is unchecked in poisonburst skill list. Do not pick CI too early. Being hybrid life/es is best if you can max chaos res without CI. If you want to simplify the build, you can just use poison burst+plague nova. Feathered fletching is good if your quiver has high arrow speed. Good uniques to aim for: Ming's heart, can even use x2 if resists allow Northpaw (only if low basecrit on bow) Snakebite can be good for singletarget dps if the rest of the gear is very strong. Temporalis Queen of the forest (but need to swap all es nodes and gear to evasion etc etc. Likely insanely good with the running assault variant. You can use corpsewade if using queen if you can fit it, but aoe clear is so strong without it anyway so might not even be worth it. Withering touch is so nerfed that it is almost impossible to apply wither with it, withering presence is probably the only reliable way but costs loads of spirit. The wicked quill too maybe, but very high int req. Things that do not work well as of 11th of april 2025: Eye of winter even with ming's heart. useless. (maybe with wicked quill). Toxic growth maxed damage link with withering touch, ming, chaos infusion, sometimes 1 stack but not worth the effort. Withering touch on main skill, nope. Withering touch on rain of arrows and max damage/chaos link, a stack here and there but not worth the trouble without frenzy charges. Dark effigy max damage link sometimes applies a stack (probably just from it's quality effect), but doubtful if even worth casting. Dark effigy AND rain of arrows reached a few stacks. Withering presence is the only reliable option. Some of the best jewel affixes Sapphire Critical strike damage, % energy shield, magnitude of ailments/with crits, additional stun threshold equal to % of maximum energy shield emerald (probably best to have all sapphires though), movement speed, evasion, critical strike chance, magnitude of ailments (can have x2 different), maybe quiver if very good etc.
