A few people have been talking about the potential of ephemeral edge, trying to work around the low attack speed. One way to not care about attack speed is to do ignite build. This has several big more multipliers, a decently fun playstyle if you don't mind slow slamming, big aoe from elementalist and huge tanky potential from a fat ES pool. It also scales very well with gear. Warning: super slow attacking melee build, certainly not for everyone (it might even just be unplayable).
