PoE Archmage builds without Shock Nova of Procession

Discharge changes from patch notes: Now has an added damage effectiveness of 450%. Now deals 56 to 203 base lightning damage per power charge removed at gem level 1, up to 394 to 1422 base lightning damage at gem level 20. Now deals 30% less damage with Ailments. Despite the 30% less damage from ignite, the added damage effectiveness seems to me like this will be the strongest skill for ignites. So I threw together a build with medium-budget items and it turns out to deal decent damage. Clearing might be a pain due to the cooldown and reliance on secondary spells for charges, though.

So discharge will receive a large damage buff, but will be on a cooldown. I'm thinking about ways to make self-casting Discharge work, and i've come up with some archetypes, although none of them feel 100% satisfying. First i thought of an Archmage build to make use of the fact that Discharge now is on a cooldown anyways, so handling the mana cost would be a lot easier. Hey guys, I'm looking for your opinions/advice on my seals-mana-BV Occultist The main thing I'm trying to achieve with it is smooth BV gameplay (that's why I'm using seals) with high surviveability (potential MOM, but not sure about it) and solid DPS. I chose Occ over Inqis because of good clearspeed and smooth ES regen, also Inquis is boring :) P.s. This is a template build, empty slots will be occupied by rare items.

Was talking to someone in the poe subreddit about Lightning Warp today, and tinkering around with a LW build gave me ideas for another build. Introducing, the CWDT 50% MoM Hierophant. We use Tempest Shield and get a ton of block via Glancing Blows and some good block nodes. Sports around 1.2k mana regen. Normally CWDT would be pretty worthless on a block build, but thanks to Glancing Blows, we take half the damage we block, meaning we can still reliably trigger our spells. After playing archmage cremation to 100, i wanted to push the damage as far as i could. This lead me to intensify stacking, which with enough stacks allows almost all of the projectiles to hit a single targe. The kill isn't perfect but its the best i could get with my limited attempts. I personally think intensify stacking is the way for bossing but i might be wrong.
