This is my first build from ground up that doesn't suck at first sight.

It's an affordable, simple Blight occultist. Blight is chaos which can't be reflected, resisted less and it being DoT means we are dealing damage even when dodging. Scaling its damage synergizes somewhat with scaling Profane Bloom damage for better clear.
As for the items:
I am using a lvl3 empower and no awakened gems. I think the damage is real, not PoB warrior: either it's a long boss fight and then we have enough time to stack Wither or it's a non-boss and then they don't have chaos res. I added custom mods for Arcane Surge because PoB doesn't recognize it in Arcane Adept.
I tried to carefully set up Clarity level to make mana regen faster than channeling Blight depletes it. My math was simply Blight cost times cast rate, if this is wrong let me know.
The spectres are pure defense, the two Ancients are throwing Enfeeble and Temporal Chains and these spectres are special because they have their own curse limit.
You can put Molten Shell on left click and then this becomes a true one button build.
I have not added any flasks.
A further improvement:
Converting The Agnostic to [The Traitor](https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/The_Traitor_(keystone_passive)) and use only a Rumi's and The Wise Oak. This generates 24 charges over 10 seconds while The Wise Oak uses 25 over 10.20 seconds. You need to generate 1 charge over 10 second to keep it running so treating it as always up is not unreasonable at all. Since Brutal Restraint adds 20 dexterity to the assigned small skills in total, the path to the jewel socket added 10 strength and the flask provides more than enough ele res, we can drop Practical application and the small nodes around it, use a small intelligence node to connect the right side of our tree. This means only 1 additional skill point is needed. You want to hit "+8% increased of non-curse auras from your skills" on Faith And Steel and/or Sanctum Of Though for a nice little boost in everything (DPS, ES, armour). Now you need less resistance on gear and if you manage to make uncapped resistance all equal then you take 8% reduced damage for each.
