was thinking if leap slam totems could be made viable and I came up with this PoB: https://pastebin.com/Y0QRgPuT
Its a hybrid character that uses also cyclones with the totems. Details:
- 70 rage (berserker ascendancy, rage support and bloodscent notable)
- uses hiltless self reflect to cwdt 1 poacher's mark and get frenzy charges
- 20 seconds leap slam totem duration with ~133k dps each (3 totems)
- features impale
- goes low life with petrified blood and over 8k total life (bloodthirst is one of the better supports that remained)
- close combat to get combat rush and buff the totems for 24% more attack speed (on alt quality it goes up to that); tested in 3.14 with lightning warp spell totem and it reduced its cast speed on tooltip (in 3.15 it no longer grants cast speed)
- uses call to arms to intimidate with intimidating cry
full dps (impale, cyclone and the totems) is between 1.2m and 1.4m (pride min to max). Got perforate there too with better numbers, but it sucks as leap slam totems are the true search and destroy sticks of death (2.4 aps).
Really believe this guy can take up to red maps, t15. After that it depends on maybe changing everything to crit or something more proper endgame.
Now, what I really wanted was to build a character that only used the totems (ancestral bond) and also went phase run bring up the damage (if you dont do anything the first buff also grants melee damage). Phase run + inc duration gem is around 3.93 covering almost all of its 4 second cd.
However, I never managed to get a good APS without requiring the character to take many actions as well.
Anyone out there has some input on this?
