Path of Exile POE - Raider Cold DoT Vortex - An Outline Of My Endless Delve Build

3.13 update: This build will work in Ritual League but isn't so strong that I'd recommend it highly. It's fun to play and serviceable without being strong. It was buffed in 3.13 however.

Why Raider?

I like moving fast in Delve, and I've wanted to play Raider for a while. There's a number of solid interactions with Raider's phasing and onslaught paths that look fun and work with Vortex. The 'correct' meta call is Trickster or Occultist, Raider is probably tied with Inquisitor as the third best choice. However, Raider is probably an excellent choice if you want to contest the Demigod's Authority races.

Damage Multipliers:

• Elemental Equilibrium to hammer enemy resists
• Elemental Overload
• Cold damage over time multiplier, this stat is INCREDIBLE get as much as you can on gear as the tree has almost none
• Vortex levels
• Bonechill (on your Cold Snap) - this is a big one. Massive chills = huge damage.

Defensive layers:

• Life
• Acro/Phase Acro
• Evasion. Lots of evasion.

Gems all blue unless listed otherwise. Favour pure evasion or evasion/ES gear. Probably need Sadist Garb for the chest.

Chest: Vortex - Efficacy - Hypothermia (G) - Ele Focus - Swift Affliction (G) - Controlled Destruciton

Helm: (Vaal) Cold Snap - Bonechill - Efficacy - Hypothermia. Add Controlled Destruction if you have a pseudo5L

Weapon: Storm Brand OR Ball Lightning in weapon (I prefer SB). Curse on Hit with either Frostbite (offense) or Temp Chains or Enfeeble. Brand doesn't do anything until Elemental Equilibrium.

Shield: Shaper -15% reservation is awesome! It either frees up mana or lets you use more auras. But it's hard to roll, and harder to roll with good ES. Malevolence, Hatred, (Vaal) Grace. Choose one (two with the Shaper shield mod). Also, Malevolence is better than Hatred which might make the decision for you. Use a Purity when you must. Use Clarity if needed.

Boots: Flame Dash or Frostblink and any utility you want. Decoy Totem, Steelskin, etc. Maybe you want a golem, a CWDT setup, etc. CONSIDER Arcane Surge here on manual cast Flame Dash or manual cast Steelskin CONSIDER a Golem with Arcane Surge CONSIDER having Increased Duration - Vaal Grace - Vaal Haste - Steelskin here, as a lot of panic buttons

Flasks: Note you are immune to elemental ailments "almost always" once Eternal ascended. Freeze, chill, ignite, shock - nope, don't care.

• Instant life of antibleed.
• Enduring mana of (whatever)
• (whatever) Quicksilver of Adrenaline
• (whatever) Jade flask of Reflexes
• Whatever good utility flasks you happen to loot.

Ascendancy Order: In Endless Delve this should matter much less than normal. I intend to do the Onslaught wing first. 33 - Rapid Assault 55 - Avatar of the Chase 68 - Quartz Infusion 75 - Avatar of the Veil

Feel free to change this order.

Levelling 1 to 28 - I expect this to be SUPER FAST in Endless Delve. I'll level those levels as an archer.

Gear Crafting Notes:

• Prismatic Fossils on two-stone rings for resists (you want life too)
• Pristine fossils in other slots when available. Shuddering on boots.

Resist Note: Forgot to say this in the video, but you path close to the Frost Walker, Lightning Walker and Fire Walker nodes. Take one or more of these if required to unkrangle resists.
