POB: https://pobb.in/Mr1LUVpU2NvF
Based on Snyo's slams showcase: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNL6TSceQ0E
Disclaimers:
- This is not a finished build
- This is on league start gear
- I would not recommend this as a good starter
- I'm not considering other ascendancies
Brief summary of the build:
Stack warcries and make big bonk.
Inspired by the fun of slams and Snyo's showcase above.
After watching Dreamcore's video about the new warcry support gem I realised this build archetype benefits from the QoL pretty nicely. For those that don't know, the new support uses ALL linked warcries, which then share a cooldown.
This build archetype of manually using multiple warcries to buff up slams benefits from not having to press multiple keys to keep the exert up. You are very socket tight as a result though.
With this PoB I'm just trying to get the damage to a reasonable place (see notes in PoB). You could very easily make the defences better as I haven't optimised for that. For instance I would probably drop blood rage/flamability/combustion for a CWDT or Vengeance setup. You can also grab Valako and do standard chieftan defenses and/or defiance of destiny. Unfortunately I don't see any way to fit suppression without a massive DPS loss.
I am pretty sure volcanic fissure of snaking is the best option here (I also think it looks the best), since it hits 4 times at max qual. I've only PoB'd it hitting 2 times since it does miss on bosses sometimes. As a second option I would go for the transfigured ground slam with the vaal version because vaal ground slam has the unique property of benefiting from exert (which is really cool).
Interested to know if any experienced builders or slammers can point to some good improvements. I don't think I will play this unless I can see it pushing 5-6mil with sub 5div investment or 10mil with 10-15.
