Every League, I see a person on either the poe2 main sub or this one ask specifically if Death Knight as a playstyle is possible in POE. After spending the better part of a week leveling and trying to make this happen with my minimal POE 2 endgame experience. It doesn't work which is what is explained every single time in those threads.
The fix for it being pointless to scale both your damage and the minions is to be haunted by The Bodach! The first minute is just gameplay, don't get jump scared by the late commentary start.
