This was my only character in Scourge, and the best version of a build I've been playing with for about a year.
Hybrid Crit Seismic Trap Saboteur (pobb.in)
I like to make cheap builds, which is good because I don't play enough to make mad stacks and don't like to do much selling. In Scourge I got everything but the watcher's eye with my first exalt. I expect the 21 gem and the 6L Tinkerskin to be more expensive this league, but should fit into 5ex easy (worst I've seen in the last year is ~3ex for the 6L Tinkerskin).
Note about Spell Suppression - Kongming's line of 30% reduced damage from Blinded enemies is basically like having a keystone that reads "Spell suppression chance is 100%, Spell Suppression effectiveness is lowered by 40%", for no investment.
Leveling - Get to 12 by any means, grab Lightning Trap + Added Lightning/Cold + Swift Assembly in a 3L. Run that until at least your first 4L, then you can go Exp Trap, Multi/Swift, Charged/Trap Damage, Conc Effect, however you like it with HoA + Skitters. If you can get the wand, shield, and amulet around 42 or so, go crit and use Charged Traps. You probably want Doomcast before you start pathing to AoF/Magmatic Strikes. You'll get a good damage bump from either AoF or the conversion in the fire mastery - you don't need both until you get Seismic Trap. Grace and Ghost Shroud aren't important until you can get 1k ES, which is why I used Tinkerskin and Vertex. You'll easily be able to afford them in early mapping, but there's a good chance you can get them even before finishing with Kitava.
Options:
- There's an open 3L which is up to you. Bear trap seems like the obvious choice, but I ran a golem at least some times.
- You can easily change out the One with Evil cluster for Charisma, and if you can get your chaos res and corrupted blood immunity elsewhere you should.
- Slavedrivers or shaper gloves with links are probably the best bang for the buck upgrades from here.
