#Disclaimer!
This is basically a budget meme build I made for the fun of it! If you're looking for a DoT cap build definitely keep looking lol. Just wanted to try the new Sabo tree in a weird way and use some niche uniques :)

#Preface
All gear except for uniques and jewels I either found or crafted which means some of the rares are horrible for now. I cannot be trusted at the crafting table - it is what it is.
And now let's dive into the unhinged rambling portion of this post!
#Pros
- smooth mapping??? - I've been juicing breach as much as possible and still ripping through massive packs without issue. Frostblink very quickly resets cooldowns based on nearby enemies and berek's respite offscreen ignite mobs when packs are close together
- very cheap to get started [50c or less] - as with my last build I tried to abuse the value of replica iron point. 2x replica CiP (5c) will carry your damage well into yellow maps. Bronn's lithe is extremely good for you and I ran a 5L until red maps (20c). if you're lucky you can corrupt one and turn it into a 6L for 100-200c. The +5 levels and 100% increased damage from Bronn's is very hard to beat. With those components alone you can get to level 31-32 frostblink! The other uniques are equaly cheap - Pyre and Marylene's are 1c and Berek's is 5c.
- convenient defense options - This build relies on on 4 basic defense layers that are easy to get with Sabo - max spell suppression, high evasion, high mobility and aoe blind + flat dmg reduction from blinded enemies from born in the shadows. Like clockwork and bomb specialist both provide some hard to see defensive layers as well. Born in the shadow's really carries the defenses because we have to get relatively close to apply our ignites.
- interesting scaling options - because you're 100% cold to fire you can use +%cold damage the same way you would use +%fire damage to scale both hit and ignite on an ignite build. We also take perfect agony so your options for damage scaling are very wide (crit multi, dot, dot multi, fire damage, cold damage, ignite speed, ignite duration)
#Cons
- getting enough ignite is tough - Without crit or great Ascendencies like Shaper of flames you have to spec several points in the tree and get ignite chance through gear. Not ideal.
- bossing is slow - I'm at ~2m Guardian DPS after a few upgrades so bosses can take a while. There's a silver lining which is that your cast time is instant and your ENTIRE build is based around a movement skill + ignite so you can ignite a boss and dash around for a few seconds while he cooks. As much as this build has low HP and is EV based a lot of bosses are relatively safe if you know the mechanics.
- adjacent to meta builds - Bronn's and Replica CiP are really really h$$$rd to replace in terms of value. You're likely looking at scepters with at least +1 level, fire/cold 70% and fire dot multi just to match. Unfortunately this is almost exactly what would benefit a standard RF build or various popular ignite builds so the prices are high and the gear is tricky to craft.
- **both rings are basically mandatory - You can replace Berek's Respite with Ignite Prolif Support or Legacy of Fury but they work very differently and I especially hated how Ignite Prolif felt. It only ignites enemies around your targets on cast. This means that burning enemies that die later won't spread your ignite AND the radius (14-20) appears to be much lower than Berek's. Unfortunately nearly all the stats on Berek's are dead stats for you though so you're stuck with a nearly empty ring. Pyre is also pretty much mandatory unless you want to try and get Avatar of Fire into the build (maybe through crucible?).
- chaos is not your friend - granted my rares are pretty bad but getting to chaos cap without rings a shield or a chestplate will be tricky.
- low ehp - even with reduced damage from sabo ascendency you're still vulnerable to phys or chaos oneshots. It's an evasion build after all. Although I did manage to get to l95 relatively painlessly (and I'm the kind of guy that tries to dash through brick walls) so as long as you're picking good maps (easy bosses) and rolling good mods you should be ok.
- the new sabo changes seem fairly weak - while I like that they're trying to make the class more flexible I think bomb specialist and like clockwork are both a little underwhelming. It's personal preference but I hate that bomb specialist is chance based mitigation. Like clockwork's cooldown reduction on enemies is interesting but the flat cooldown recovery rate is not great for this build. There are lots of ways to get relatively cheap cooldown recovery for movement/travel skills so we don't really need this stat for the build to function.
#PoE Build of the week
Also, someone recently pointed out to me that a very similar build was already covered by the PoE Build of the week series last year. You can see their great video about it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqGL-17gf9Q&ab_channel=PathofExile
#Open to criticism!
I've absolutely made some garbage takes on this subreddit before (and I'll do it again!). If I'm doing something wrong or if I've under-estimated/undersold an item or passive please let me know. Suggestions for improvement (as long as they're not "just reroll") are greatly appreciated. I'm a stone cold boomer at this point, but I'm willing to learn :)
