This is another build abusing some of the new crucible mods. This time, I'm using lightning tendril totems on a hierophant.
There is a new crucible mod that makes it so when you have a spark totem, lightning tendril totems have -1 pulses between stronger pulses. This can be stacked on main hand and offhand. Lightning tendrils was changed in this patch so that strong pulses occur every 3 pulses instead of 4, and stronger pulses are guaranteed crits instead of dealing more damage.
Therefore, by using this mod on main hand and offhand, every pulse on your lightning tendril totems becomes a guaranteed crit. Now that we have guaranteed crits on every hit, the scaling method is pretty obvious, just crank crit multi as high as possible.
Since every hit is a guaranteed crit, we can use marylene's fallacy for huge crit multi with no downside. We also use awakened controlled destruction for a strong multiplier while ignoring its downside. Additionally, phantasmal lightning tendrils provides a huge damage boost on stronger pulses, which is massive because every pulse is a stronger pulse for our totems.
I am using call of the brotherhood for cold conversion because freezing is very nice defensively. Also using forbidden flesh/flame for the inquisitor node to ignore elemental resistances.
Soul Mantle is used for a 7 link (eight if you count the extra levels from corrupted implicits) and we get a large amount of %damage scaling from self flagellation with the curses applied when totems die or are resummoned. Three jewels with -effect of curses on you and the upgraded yugul pantheon allow us to ignore the effects of curses completely, so we can rapidly resummon totems to spam curses on ourselves with no downside.
The defenses are pretty barebones, just a bit of armor with molten shell and a decent life pool. However, by playing behind my totems, it was very comfortable to level to the mid-90s doing delirium and metamorph, and typically fully charging crucible.
If you are looking for something that maps well and can kill ubers pretty easily on a reasonable budget, this might be a good option.
If you are looking for something super well rounded to do other content like delve/simulacrum, this isn't it.
