Kuroboros's Notes

-----------------------Build Stats---------------- Damage: 3/5 Defense: 5/5 Mapping: 5/5 Bossing: 2/5 -----------------------Pros----------------------- 1. Tanky Autobomber / Walking Simulator 2. High Movement Speed 3. Max Block 4. High Physical/Melee Damage Reduction -----------------------Cons----------------------- 1. Single target DPS is lacking 2. Can't run Ele Reflect, No Leech, Less Recovery, and No Regen mods -----------------------Note----------------------- 1. Flame Dash is how we start our Herald of Thunder. Once inside a map, we use Flame Dash on an enemy to shock them (thanks to Shaper of Storms Ascendency Notable) and start our Herald of Thunder damage loop. If we are out of combat for a long time, the loop will stop and we will have to use Flame Dash on an enemy again to restart the loop. 2. Instead of going full glass cannon with the Annihilating Light Staff, we have chosen to make this build in more tanky. And the Svalinn shield is once again a game changer here. We have Max Block, along with a hefty amount of Physical Damage Reduction from Chaos Golem and Melee Damage Reduction from Stone Golem. At this point, the next defensive upgrade for this build is a Progenesis flask. 3. Due to focusing on making this build defensive, we had to sacrifice a lot of single target DPS. For example, this build can easily clear entire T17 maps without dying, but killing any T17 boss takes forever. 4. The Elegant Hubris Timeless Jewel (Caspiro variant) is a versatile asset in this build. It gives us a lot of Attack Block Chance, lets us generatre Frenzy Charges, gives us a decent amount of Crit Chance, and frees up our Attribute requirements, which in turn let's us use a lot of Tattoos. The Seed we have used here is 40500. 5. We are jewel socket starved, and as such, can't take advantage of the Red Nightmare jewel. Instead, that is the only location where we can socket our Impossible Escape Jewel. (Putting the Impossible Escape in a Cluster Jewel Socket doesn't work) 6. Immortal Call is the best Guard Skill for this build. Other guard skills provides a buff to mitigate damage, which gets depleted very quickly by Herald of Thunder's self damage. Immortal Call's damage mitigation doesnot' get affected by this. Also note that, Immortal Call has is not permanent. It has around 60% uptime. 7. The Ascendency Notable Bastion of Elements is bait. It has the same downside as other guard skills. The Primal Aegis it provides gets depleted very quickly by Herald of Thunder's self damage. Do not use it. 8. Herald of Thunder does not have any innate Critical Strike Chance. To make up for that, Self-Fulfilling Prophecy (medium cluster jewel notable) is a must have. We need to stack as many of them as we can. 9. Doriyani's Lesson (large cluster jewel notable) is also a must have. It is our only source of Leech. 10. We generate Endurance Charges from Enduring Composure (small cluster jewel notable), Frenzy Charges from Eternal Fervour (timeless jewel node), and Power Charges from Power Charge on Critical (gem). 11. Phase Run has permanent uptime during mapping due to Frenzy Charges. 12. The Golems will die during mapping and automatically re-summon themselves after 4 seconds. Do not worry about them and don't invest in keeping them alive. 13. The Brittle Ground implicit from the boots is how we cap crit chace against tanky rares during mapping. If you want, you can instead go with Scorched Ground implicit as well. It is also a solid DPS increase. 14. Last but not the least, the EHP gain on Block option in the configuration tab has been kept disabled on purpose in this PoB. It inflates the defense of the build wrongly due to Life Gain on Block mods. Don't trust that option. ======================================================================================================================== If you have any other questions, please ask either in reddit or youtube comments (As I still don't have a Discord server yet). I'll try to answer them to the best of my knowledge. ========================================================================================================================
