UmeChrono's Notes

Since all I care about is getting to functional state of bleed ASAP, I'm a dirty meta abuser and going to play econc until end of act 7. Feel free to level any way you like, whether it helix, sunder or bleed in any shape of form as soon as you want. ---ACT 1--- Link priority from top to bottom, from left to right. (Splitting Steel in Mudflats) -> Spectral throw - Volley - Chance to Poison into Spectral throw - Volley - Added fire damage. Dash (Frostblink later), Decoy totem Weapon swap: Starter sword with Shield Charge and Momentum (Later Faster attacks) for maximum zoom in act 1. Make sure to look for RGG and GGG. SNIPERS MARK + VOLLEY TECH IS BAIT You can either keep the phys nodes and kill Merveil with ST and respec in act 2 town OR respec the points before going to cavern if you're sure you will get lvl 12 and will be able to respec. Respec prep: Helix, Faster attacks, Precision (unnecessary until act 3). Quest rewards: Splitting Steel, Decoy Totem, Dash, Volley, Added fire damage, Leap slam, Earthshatter (ruby ring recipe). ---ACT 2--- Nothing fancy here. Just make sure to look for grand mana flask and be lvl 21 at oversoul. Spectral helix - Faster attacks (or momentum if no transmutes early) - Added fire damage Leap slam - Faster Attacks - Momentum Frostblink, Decoy Totem, Poachers mark, Blood rage, Precision and Herald of Ash. Gems to acquire: Blood rage, Poacher's mark (insane for sustain and giga damage due to helix and ST hitting often), Herald of Ash (for fire dmg to proc fire mastery and clear). ---ACT 3--- Get your ruby and topaz rings prepared for first Piety fight. Nothing changes until you get to lvl 28. Skip Gravicius. Your 4l has a bit of flexibility, which can be either cruelty or vicious projectiles. Cruelty is less damage but not aps penalty, while vicious has ~13% more damage, but aps penalty is annoying. Here you can drop Herald of Ash once you get pops, but you'd need flat fire craft on your jewellry from the room near Dialla or Anger. I prefer to get myself Haste (can go Anger if no space for flat fire) after I drop precision thanks to accuracy mastery. From now on you will have to keep a close eye on the amount of armour gear you have (hybrid or full armour) because you will get blasted otherwise due to no determ (flask is unreliable). Also, start paying attention to armour bases/full armour 4 links for your respec in act 8, if you get all you need in advance, then your swap will be smooth like butter. Make sure to grab a shit essence (not res or flat phys) and a white or rare rustic sash so you can craft a phys weapon during swap at a whim. ---ACT 6-7--- By this moment you should have grabbed all full armour pieces from quests (Tarkleigh for helmet after Shavronne and Helena for boots after Maligaro) as well as picking up full armour pieces (ideally 4 socket or 4 linked) to have easier swap. You also want to look for rare axes with good rolls OR the following axes to use %phys recipe on: Labrys (slower, but harder hitting) or Noble axe (faster, but weaker hitting). Headsman works too, but it has way lower dps, while Abyssal axe is good, though you won't be able to equip it from the get go due to lvl 55 requirement. Sometimes rare timber axe can be insane and outperform any other axes. ---ACT 8--- After killing Arakali I usually get to act 8 town and commence the swap. The setup should be as follows with priority top to bottom. Sunder - Fist of War - Fortify - Overexertion Leap slam - Faster Attacks - Momentum Vulnerability, Determination, Flesh and Stone OR Herald of Purity, Frostblink Intimidating Cry, Seismic Cry, Rallying Cry, Battlemage's cry (link with vuln if possible), Infernal Cry Molten shell - Cast When Damage Taken (likely won't be possible, but get asap at the cost of sockets for warcries) Your playstyle will be: Jump around and slam -> Tanky rare/boss = use all warcries -> vuln -> tincture -> slam -> wait fist of war -> slam -> disable tincture -> reuse intim cry -> repeat (you can also spam attacks for a bit more burst damage). And seismic while mapping for more AoE. This is the core build you will stick to till the end. Enjoy. ---END GAME DETAILS--- Due to a weird interaction/bug if you hit too hard, pops don't work (even though it works with curse explosions and ignite explosions, but not with bleed or poison), which is why if you want pops then you have to use Herald of ash instead of Herald of purity (I do that). Deadly ailments is NOT the play because it fucks your leech and fortify. I tried it and barely got myself out of a window frame in the last second, just don't. DON'T LET YOUR BLEED DURATION BE LOWER THAN 3 SECONDS T16 viable axe is easy to craft. Get ilvl <70 sundering axes -> alt spam till T3-4 flat phys -> granite + augmentation orb + axe vendor recipe until T2 reached -> aug + regal + craft highest phys (%phys + bleed chance is worse cuz 1 point saved gives less damage than 10-20% increased phys). Next axe upgrade will be: Buy a fractured hybrid phys sundering axe (or fracture yourself) -> use a defeaning essence of contempt -> prefixes cannot be changed -> veiled chaos orb -> hit prefix -> unveil %phys ->craft attack speed or phys dot multi OR prefixes cannot be changed -> reforge speed -> craft phys dot multi. Drop Iron Reflexes once your gear is fully or mostly armour. At lvl ~75 you will get fortify mastery, which will allow you to drop fortify gem and take cruelty. Its a bit less damage than melee phys, but doesn't have attack speed penalty, so its chill. I usually take Brutality as my 5th link due to afromentioned attack speed penalty from melee phys, but you can take melee phys for more damage. 6th link is brutality or melee phys, depending on which one you took initially. Differnce between Overexertion setup and Cruelty setup is 33% less damage or 50% more. Cruelty and Deadly Ailments on the other hand are basically the same damage wise, but deadly ailments fucks your leech and fortify, so its bad. You can swap out of warcry speed in Admonisher cluster as soon as you can get a 5L with 4 warcries + urgent orders. You will become unable to leap slam without wasting exerts (unless you craft "movement skills cannot exert attacks as a suffix on your belt or amulet), but you will free up 5 points. I swap to urgent orders only with 6L personally. On tincture you are looking for: "increased effect" or "damage over time multiplier" or ideally both (do NOT take inc effect + burn rate, it fucks you up big time). Remember that you can apply quality to it like a flask. Strengths: 1. Can do 99% of content while being a cheap league starter. 2. Well-rounded BEAST (corgosDance). 3. Best glad build. 4. Strong respec options (Slayer smite, Champion SST, Retalliate crushing fist glad, etc). 5. No annoying crafts/items. 6. Two poop pancake ascendancy nodes, which means that you'll be able to use the hell out of new bloodline ascendancies. 7. SSF viable. 8. 20/20 sunder + seismic + pops = AAAAUUUUUUUUGHHHH clear. Weaknesses: 1. As a bleed build you have a HARD cap on your damage, which is why as you can see its hard to push damage beyond 15 mil dps. 2. Rogue exiles. I know they are nerfed, but still. 3. Early T17's. Not much to say, too many mods that fuck you, hard to kill bosses unless you are fine with fighting them for ~1 minute (I'm looking at you, fortress). 4. Rotation based single-target damage. 5. Uber blight strategy of screen flickering. 6. Not as good at scaling with investment as most other builds, which is why I respec into Bleed Bow or cold SST after hitting lvl 100. 7. Isn't friendly to people that haven't played it, since it's not like melee, i.e. you can't really jump into a pack of mobs and expect to live so you have to play it more like ranged archetype, while being spot-on with your single target rotation to not burp all over your slippers. Content farm tierlist: S - Expedition, Breach, Harvest (explosion abuse) A - Delirium, Betrayal, Blight, Beyond, Incursion, Ambush, Delve, Ultimatum (ignore 80% of mods), simulacrum. B - Legion (clear in lines, not cones), Bestiary (can't one shot), T17 and T16.5 in general (too many mods pre-slayer spec), bossing (not good, not shit), 100% delirium (gl leeching and proccing fortify). C - Uber Anarchy, Uber Blight (lol).
