Path of Exile - Crackling Lance Assassin (self-cast crit) - 3.12 Heist Experimental League Starter

Being a brand new skill, I make no promises that this will be strong. It looks like it SHOULD (on paper) perform as well as Arc does currently - a solid but unspectacular choice.

You will want to experiment with the Intensity nodes - I don't have them on my passive tree yet as I'm not sure how the reduced area will feel.

Utility skills/reservations: Wrath, Herald of Thunder, Flame Dash - Second Wind - Arcane Surge, whatever Guard skill you like, a Golem if you want one.

Key Links: Crackling Lance - Intensify - Controlled Destruction - Inspiration - Lightning Penetration - Added Lightning Damage (use Arc from 12 to 27, Crack Lance from then on with as many of these supports as you can manage)

Sometimes new skills are bad. If this is the case here, Poison Blade Vortex Assassin is an excellent proven build you should be able to transition to with a couple dozen regret orbs.
