Hey everyone,
So a couple of days ago I made a post about the potential of Serpent Warriors as a pure specter build (by pure I mean they are the main source of damage, I still run an AG and a Carrion Golem for buffs).
Today I got the character to level 95 and decided to try some of the harder endgame content:
Other ubers I completed are uber uber Elder (that I forgot to record) and uber Maven (where I shamefully died way too many times to the memory game to upload...)
Pros:
- Really good single target (no exact numbers because no specters in PoB but by eye balling it we should be close to DoT cap if not there already ~ after a bit of ramping).
- This build is great for farming things like Essences, Expedition, Harvest also can handle high quant Invitations.
- Lazy playstyle, you're basically a curse/aura bot for your specters.
- Not too expensive to put together (Specters are only 8c a piece), my current "high-end" PoB is roughly 40d.
- Defensively the build is fairly tanky, block capped with Aegis, perma triple ele flasks (with Traitor), our minions taunt, high life/es pool.
Cons:
- As shown in the map showcase, it's not a fast mapper but the Asenath's on the AG helps a bit.
- The specters defensive behavior can be annoying sometimes, Predator support help a lot with that tho.
- For optimal dps you need to stand "near" the boss or you lose out on the meat shield 30% more damage, otherwise you can Predator mark them and run around.
Regarding the specters survivability, I do invest into it in the tree and I'm yet to lose any specter or minion for that matter even the Golem that is usually squishy.
In conclusion, the specters are solid imo but not particularly broken, so if you are a specter/minion builds enjoyer you way want to check them out.
