Acolyt of Chayula is not an easy ascendancy to get out of the ground, it takes time to really shine.
I leveled as an elemental monk using moslty storm wave to clear mobs from a distance and combined it with shattering palm when things come to close.
After having enough currencies to buy Original Sin and Ingenuity and after getting my 4th ascendacy, i finally switched to Chaos Monk.
Next steps will be to find a better helm (more es), better jewels and prolly replace chaos res by some more useful affixes to go CI.
