LaudieTV's Notes
Hey Guys, I updated my build—hope you like the guide!
These spectres are underrated, often overlooked in favor of cold crit builds. I’m a fan of the poison variant, especially with the Wraithlord helmet in 3.25. This was the perfect time to give them a shot!
Build Overview The build is tanky, thanks to the Svalinn shield. I didn’t invest heavily in other defenses beyond life, resistances, and block, leaving more room for damage scaling. I’m running Haste, Malevolence, and Aspect of the Spider auras, with abyss jewels for chaos damage to minions. The Covenant body armor now has the correct colors with GMP and Greater Volley socketed in, which works well with the spectres' projectiles.
Key Mechanics Spectres have a unique interaction with Meat Shield support, switching them to projectiles. Replacing Minion Speed with GMP and Greater Volley improves damage through projectile overlap. With 10 projectiles per minion and 7 minions, you can achieve up to 70 overlapping projectiles, resulting in huge damage spikes.
Gearing and Investment I've invested around 30 divines, and with more investment, this build can compete with cold crit spectres. Gearing should get easier as the league progresses.
Serpent Warrior Spectres - Overview These spectres deal chaos-based damage, inflicting poison, bleed, and Withered on hit. They fire physical chaos-converted mortars, boosted by projectile support gems for increased damage.

Do You Need Perfect Serpent Warriors? Perfect ones are expensive, but you don’t need them. They won’t appear in your Desecrate pool, so you’ll need to buy them. However, imperfect ones still deal the same damage with Meat Shield support. Here's the breakdown:
Perfect Version: Meat Shield Interaction, Wither, Poison Aura Normal Version: Meat Shield Interaction, Wither Imperfect Version: Meat Shield Interaction
You don’t need them all to be perfect—normal ones are fine. You can upgrade later if you want.
Second Spectre Setup - Utility For the second Raise Spectre setup, I use a utility spectre like the Perfect Forest Warrior for Onslaught and Culling Strike. It’s linked with Feeding Frenzy, Minion Life, and Item Rarity. If you have more currency, the Perfect Forest Tiger is optimal. It provides a Haste Aura and Frenzy Charges, freeing you from using Haste in your auras. This allows you to use Envy on your wand for extra damage.
CI Final Form Suggestion For high-investment players, transitioning to a Chaos Inoculation (CI) setup with a Vaal Regalia (1,000+ ES and +1 to Spectres) is a solid option. You’ll get an extra DPS spectre and much higher tankiness. With Energy Shield overleech, you can drop life-based gear and go full CI, becoming an end-game powerhouse.
Things to Improve Convoking Wand with +1 to minion skills, attack speed, and minion damage Upgraded shield for more spell block Wraithlord with regen implicit (luxury) Higher-tier abyss jewels for better min-maxing
Final Thoughts This build is fun, tanky, and an excellent alternative to typical spectre metas. If you enjoy poison playstyles, this could be the build for you!
