Hi Exiles,

Here's a new build I've put together in Affliction league : Occultist Viper Strike of the Mamba.

Mamba is mostly played by Pathfinders and Assassins. I've taken inspiration from these builds to devise an Occultist version.

Why Occultist ?

Easy access to : +1 curse, chaos res and juicy chaosplosions that help to spread poison and refill Plague Bearer.

Viper Strike of the Mamba applies one big poison on non-poisoned enemies. So we want to maximize this single poison.

> We use Warden ascendancy and a Poisonberry Tincture so that all dmg can poison.
> We wield two 900 DPS Rebuke of the Vaal swords that will strike together for one big hit.
> We stack "% inc poison dmg on non-poisoned enemies" :
- Poison masteries (300%) and Low Tolerance (300%)
- On the Tincture : up to 750% inc dmg with 300% perfect roll and 2 empty flask slots (Warden ascendancy)

> We use Ambush to get a bigger, critical, strike. The huge crit multi from Ambush (+138%) is applied at 50% to poison DPS through Perfect Agony keystone.
> We cast Alchemist's Mark to spread Caustic Ground, which will deal 79% of the poison dmg.
> We add Ralakesh boots to have max Frenzy, Power and Endurance charges.

> With Olesya's belt, we can gain Affliction charges. Each of them grants 8% more damage over time. With 5 Frenzy charges, we can gain as many Affliction charges = 40% more DPS.

(To gain Affliction charges, my current choice is a Precursor's Emblem ring with 10% chance to gain frenzy on hit and on kill.)

Defenses : The Perfect Form for high Evasion and Spell Dodge. Currently, 65% in both stats. EHP = 42k.

Current budget : ~5 divines.

As you will see, bosses are melted with two or three Ambush strikes, and clearspeed is good thanks to Profane Bloom and Plague Bearer.
