With Path of Exile 3.29 Curse of the Allflame we got the new Pact Skills that Empower skills. Pact of K'Tash empowers Vaal skills with some very interesting modifiers. Not only does it Refund the Cost but it also cuts the Soul Gain Prevention Duration by 50%. This allows us to spam a skill like Vaal Blade Vortex as our primary spell. However the downside of Afflictions has to be handled which can be done with Warped Time Piece, Pantheons, Temporal Rift, Stasis Prison. The options are there but you can also use the new belt Unholy Accomplice to turn those Afflictions to Boons! When getting Cooldown Recovery be careful to not go lower than the Soul Gain Prevention on the skill it's otherwise the refund won't work.
