Update for 3.23: "Vortex: Now has a 0.750 second Cast Time (previously instant), and no longer has a Cooldown Time. It can no longer be cast on Frostbolt projectiles." This means that you can no longer cast vortex on movement, which means that the build needs some adjustments to account for this change.

Here are the gem colors we need.

Body armour: Evasion/ES. 6L: BBBBGG: Vortex - Creeping Frost - Elemental Focus - Controlled Destruction - Hypothermia - Swift Affliction. Note: Can use Cruelty instead of either Elemental Focus or Swift Affliction.

Gloves: Evasion/ES (+1/2 AoE craft). 4L: BBBB: Vaal Cold Snap - Efficacy - Bonechill - Controlled Destruction Note: Can use Hypothermia instead of Efficacy

Helmet: ES (Devouring Diadem). 4S: BBGR: Malevolence - Tempest Shield - Grace - Determination Note: You don't need a Diadem, but it does save the points for Eldritch Battery

Suggestions for crafting basetypes:

• Helmet (until Diadem): Deicide Mask, Hubris Circlet.

• Gloves: Murder Mitts, Sorceror Gloves, Dragonscale Gauntlets* Note: This is not recommended until you have a sizeable amount of jeweller orbs. This basetype is very low priority.

• Boots: Titan Greaves, Dragonscale Boots. Note: Uninfluenced two-toned boots aren't that valueable anymore due to the eldritch implicits.

• Shield: Lacquered Buckler, Imperial Buckler, Cardinal Round Shield, Supreme Spiked Shield, Titanium Spirit Shield. Note: Be sure to show all rare spirit shields for potential +1s. This is useful both on SSF and trade.

• Weapon: Opal Scepter, Void Scepter.
