Hello team, im a Divine Ire one trick pony. I have been playing this skill ever since it came out, every season and i absolutely just love using this skill and i'd like to share my excitement and passion for this skill for anyone thats perhaps interested in playing this skill in SSF or non-SSF. I'm a SSF only player myself so real min maxxing using trade and having access to any unique is out of my ballpark.

Build Information

  • Ailments:

Because we'll be hitting for 1m+ cold hits with 2.1 Freeze duration modifier we'll be permanently freezing and chilling every single map boss, rares and pinnacle bosses. Increasing survivability of standing still.

  • Ailment Immunities:

I'll preface this section with saying that getting ailment immunities is rather easy and accesible to get with Inquisitor with the help of this protection mastery node right next to Templar starting location.

Freeze immunity from Arctic Armour.

Chill immunity from skill tree(+50% reduced effect) and pantheon(+50% reduced effect).

Shock & ignite immmunity(optional): Since we'll have 5 jewel sockets open (potentially 6 with Stygian Vise). we'll have the opportunity of socketing 2x +35% reduced shock effect combined with +30% from tree which grants reduced 100%. Same goes for ignite duration. You can alternatively also just roll ignite duration or shock effect on your ruby flask.

Corrupting blood immunity: From protection mastery.

Curse immunity(optional): Inquisitor by default gets 62.5% curse effect from consecrated ground so if you really want, you can equip one jewel with any amount of reduced curse effect to practically become immune. I will however not be going for this because the default 62.5% is rather good enough already.

Poison and Bleed: We'll be running [Bleed] (https://i.imgur.com/w3Tx6kW.png) and Posion health flasks. You may wonder why they're only hallowed life flask and thats because i plan on using Soul of Ryslatha as my minor god and for good reason. The flasks only require 10 charges instead of 15, they instantly heal for 2670 life and recharge rather quickly on top of recharging every 12s(+4s recently) with Ryslatha's 3 charges every 3s which is rather useful for boss fights where you cannot gain any charges.

  • Defences, Life, Armour, Energy Shield, Petrified Blood and regen.

Life: I'll be aiming for baseline 5k max hp as a default number and pushing that up to ~5700 with the use of vermillion rings, strength and jewels. Getting around 3000 unreserved life as the goal.

This build has MoM and EB to fuel mana costs for divine blessing. Its important to have 60% unreserved life /40% ES ratio to maximize the benefits of MoM.(in-depth explanation of MoM by dreamcore).

Energy Shield & Armor: Getting ES is such a huge boost to survivability we'll be running exclusively hybrid Armor/ES gear due to armor mastery granting +1 max res and +100% increased defenses granted from chest armor in armor/es mastery; doubling the effectiveness of chest slot armor. If energy shield - life ratio hasnt been reached; the use of Crystal belt and/or Titanium spirit shield is required.

Regen and life reservation: Petrified blood, righteous fire and regen is mostly accomplished by just picking up life regen on every single piece of gear. Vitality linked with arrogance later swapping to precision when a comfortable amount of regeneration has been reached. Early on'll ill most likely anoint Hearty until i have about 500 net positive life regen without it. You also want to make use out of the life mastery which grants low life to be counted at 55% hp which simply adds another 5% to your total max hit and make sure your vitality or precision linked to arrogance aren't forcing your max hp to like 49% making the mastery useless and you far less tankier.

Other defences:

I'll be running Molten shell on left click.

Frost shield will basically make you immune to dying against most map boss damage and comes in handy a lot during mapping against rares/essence mobs. Pinnacle bosses dont tend to move much so it will be granting a gazillion effective hp in their respective ecounters.

Being stationary activates the defensive mechanics that will help you stay alive while channeling Divine Ire. Arctic armor, endurance charges and additional armor from anointing inexorable. Energy shield mastery which grants 10% less physical damage taken while energy shield is full.

  • Items, gems and how to scale damage

Conversion information: The idea is that we'll be using phys to lighting gem until we reach maps and can either craft phys to cold converstion on gloves or echant gloves with 10% implicit that says the same, then picking up the 40% phys to cold mastery (swapping phys to lightning gem for increased critical damage gem) for a combined 50/50 light cold damage output and make use out of cold mastery which grants additional 50% increased damage against targets which been frozen for 10s combined with +30% shocks on targets.

Items and their affixes in that PoB are just there to represent what kind of affixes you're looking for on what items. You'll also want to find around 40 dex from affixes so you can equip all the required gems.

Cast speed: Since Divine Ire has 20 stacks you need to charge, mapping without cast speed has no real issues because stacking near any group of mobs will instantly charge it to 20 in a second or so, however against bosses you gain only 2 charges each channel meaning you need to cast it 10 times to reach 20 stacks. We're looking to have around 9 to 10 casts per second as a baseline to make Divine Ire feel really good while bossing and mapping, we'll do this through getting cast speed on weapon or weapons, helmet, rings, amulet and jewels potentially. You could even pick up action speed form boots implicit. If you can manage to get rather good amount of cast speed, like 9.5 or so without cast speed gem i'd recomend swapping that gem out for an additional damage gem like hypothermia. However thats entierly up to what you might feel is better because having a million cast speed is rather useful since you'll stand still a lot less while mapping and killing.

Reservations and damage:We'll scale damage through the use of more damage modifiers like Hatred, Zealotry, Pain Attunement, More damage gems, Righteous Fire, Crit Multi and Herald of Purity once you get a Shireking essence of loathing on your helmet with eater of worlds mana reservation efficiency on helmet, before that you'll simply have Defiance banner slotted for some additional armour.

Top tier affixes for damage you're looking for is cast speed, crit mult, +100% spell damage, +level to physical/lightning gems and phys as extra light/cold.

If you're looking for a lot more damage and are willing to drop shield for another sceptre then getting +20% cast speed from jewels and +20% cast speed from your other sceptre you'll reach +9.5 cast speed without the help of faster casting gem allowing you to drop it for hypothermia nearly doubling your damage to 3.5 million per hit. Having +1 phy/light gem on both sceptres increases your damage by an additional million to 4.4m(if we're just using the sceptre in the pob with +80% spell damage as well). Getting +1 on amulet gives another 600k to hit for a total of 5 million. This is rather feasible to get within 2 weeks of just playing i think, even if you're struggling with cast speed you can keep the faster casting gem instead of hypothermia and still have 3.9m damage in that set up.

Other than that there are rather good uniques you could potentially use like Heatshiver + 2x call of the brotherhood into full cold conversion for potentially a massive amount of damage at the expense of cast speed and life. But you can go up to somewhere around 6-9 million average hit in SSF if you have this set up. I also would like to mention that the unique Rotgut has pemanent uptime while running divine ire because you're critting and hitting a lot while channeling and so using it with the used when charges reach full craft for a perma +40% ms buff is best in slot.

If i've missed anything or there's something thats not really making sense just make a comment, this is my first time making this kind of a post and im dyslexic so i'd appreciate any feedback. I'll also always be available for dm if there are anyone willing to play this and got any additional questions during the league.
