With the arrival of the Martial Artist and Hollow Form we finally have our channelling strike skill to use Crackling Barrier and Barbs together! This in theory means tonnes of lightning thorns damage from mana scaling, and tonnes of defense from damage taken from mana before life

On the passive tree I plan to focus on mana, mana recovery and damage taken from mana before life, with a little bit of Power Charge, Remnant stuff and Lightning damage sprinled throughout

As for skills, Rapid Assault goes in Hollow Form as it should be the fastest strike skill to dish out our Barbs stacks. There's a chance it's too fast, in which case we can consider switching to something with more utility. Mana Remnants ensures powerful recovery, and Lingering Illusion grants us power charges to make more effective use of Hollow Form

For gear, Crown of the Pale King and Briarpatch remain mandatory Thorns Uniques, but we can also use Cloak of Defiance for 50% of damage taken from mana before life, just be careful not to exceed 100%! Other than uniques, the focus is on resistances, mana and energy shield, which turns into mana anyway because of Eldritch Battery
