havoc616's Notes
The goal is to defeat the Eldritch bosses: The Infinite Hunger, The Eater of Worlds, The Black Star & The Searing Exarch in a fresh SSF environment as fast as possible on a Lightning Arrow + Lightning Arrow Ballista Totem Deadeye Bow Build.
To do so we need to figure out the optimal selection and routing of:
- Gear (Particularly Item Bases)
- Passive Tree Routing (Non-crit vs Crit, Abyss Jewels, Frenzies, etc.)
- The Atlas Passive Tree and
- Experience Acquisition
Alternate Phrasing: Take the fastest route to the Eldritch Bosses while also achieving the minimum viable power level to successfully kill them.
To find the correct route we need to do a "routing run", a routing run generally means:
- Building a rough outline of what the run looks like (approximate level breakpoints, uber lab timings, map tier timings, etc.)
- Finding our strengths (where are we strong, have we over-invested somewhere?)
- Finding our weaknesses (where are we weak, where do we struggle, how can we fix it?)
- Going slower and taking extra time when making decisions. Generally we want to make decisions before a run but some things you can only learn during a run, additionally, it is good practice to make well thought out decisions in a live environment.
- Item Filter Optimization
Build Improvements for the Next Run:
- Optimizing the Tree for Non-Crit
- Non-Crit means pushing for Non-Crit Lightning Hits are Lucky
- Means Pathing up by Ghost Dance all the way up to Influence and Arcing Blows
- Lucky Lightning Hits means Wrath over Anger
- Wearing evasion gear (hybrid is ok) and getting 2 spell suppression masteries to max out spell suppression earlier and easier
- Going non-crit also makes gearing much much easier
- No CWDT Blood Rage
- Multiple Totems Support
- Marked for Death + Frenzy Mastery
General areas to improve on for the next run:
- Unveiling Items (why and what)
- Item Filter Optimization
- Setting up Links & Gems
- Jewels, Abyss Jewels
- General Mapping Currency
Atlas Tree Strategy - What We Tried:
- We rushed essences, 1 shrine cluster, 2 harbinger clusters, map nodes, kirac nodes & 2 uber lab points
- Essences were very useful at a 3 point investment
- Kirac missions were very useful every time we got them (which was not many)
- Shrines were very nice but left more to be desired, pathing to Drawn to Power & Syncretism is desired
- Harbingers provided a nice trickle of mapping currency but there is an argument that said currency can be achieved in other ways
- Our tree lacked nice experience gain mechanics; this leads to a new bottle neck of character levels. This is especially exasperated by the fact we can get to red maps in a couple hours after story mode completion.
Atlas Tree Strategy - Future Ideas:
- Idea 1: Prolific Essence, Twice Tempted, Supplication, Expert Reconnaissance, Commissioned Officer, Shaping the Valleys, Shaping the Seas, For Love of the Queen. Crystal Resonance, Tamper Proof, Amplified Energies, Drawn to Power, Syncretism, Backup Cache
- Idea 1 Benefits: Quant Wheel, Maxed Essences, Vaal Side areas for XP, Boxes for Money and 5/6L RNG, Quant Wheel for Map sustain
- Idea 2: Prolific Essence, Focused Investigation, Shaping the Skies, Underground Kingdom, Ominous Arrival, Abyssal Army, Unspeakable Offensive, Commissioned Officer, Shaping the Valleys, Shaping the Seas, Corrupted Gaze, Intelligence Gathering, Test of Loyalty
- Idea 2 Benefits: Strong Abyss jewels for damage and XP Gain, Jun for Gravicious Craft, Chaos Resist Crafts, Attribute Crafts and XP Gain, Harbingers for Currency Gain
- Both trees would consider dropping certain points (ex: essences when gear is done or abysses when jewels are no longer needed).
- Both trees are testing whether all the plus level mapping nodes are required
- I would go for Uber Lab Trial Nodes (Trial of Glory) in both trees temporarily until I achieve Uber Lab
