Sublime PoF Storm Burst Inquisitor - Uber Maven & Uber Cortex

With Chieftain being reworked, I sought to find a new class/ascendancy that had the most synergy with Purity of Fire Sublime Vision. Fortunately with the Guardian rework, the drawback of only having 1 aura can be bypassed with the new Elemental Relic node, which lets us have access to Anger, Wrath and Hatred. Now all I needed was to pick a skill.

The criteria for skill selection was as follows:

• physical base damage (for scaling with Herald of Purity/Ash and Hatred and also full conversion to lightning to leverage Wrath)

• high hit rate to proc Elemental Relic

• scales with duration to extend Elemental Relic

This left me with Blade Vortex and Storm Burst. Storm Burst is most suitable for the job as duration tattoos have allowed it to be scaled to pretty high amounts of duration without the need for Malevolence which is a huge damage increase.

Despite being a channeled skill, I would like to state that Storm Burst feels good to play. It isn't quite as reliant as most other channelling skills on stages, which leads to a rather fluid playstyle given reasonable cast speed investment. It also has decent AoE coverage. I had intended for the Uber Replica Cortex run to showcase a little bit of the clear, but it ended up having 80% avoid ailments which really hurts Heatshiver application. Oh well.

The rest of the build is fairly staple. Stack life regen and convert it to rage via Kaom's Spirit. Use ES regen to sustain RF + Blood Rage + Frost Shield. Life recovery is dependent on the recovery mastery and overleech which I get from Petrified Blood. Convocation to make sure that the relics are near me all the time (they honestly do have reasonable repositioning AI just on their own).

Overall, I really enjoyed playing this build. One of my favorite theorycrafts in a while. Big thanks to Patrick, AV and Koopa for fully funding the build!
