Hello and welcome back to Path of Exile
As you know, Sentinel League is here, and you're all going to die.
I know dying those 12 times that I did was pretty heartbraking and
I know I could've avoided some of those had I been more careful.
And yes that's right, I only died 12 times on this character. While,
it's not hard core viable, it's not exactly easy killing this build.
If you read the title then, you know that This is an Explosive
Arrow totem build. The difference here is that I am using the
Siege cluster jewel, which gives Kineticism, meaning that every
attack projectile makes enemies bleed, get maimed and get knocked
back. This also applies to attack projectiles from totem. As all
attack projectiles bleed, I went for gladiator for Gratuitous Violence,
or blood explosions. This is a damage over time type of build, as
such my bow is crafted with that in mind. The main damage is
off of bleed and ignite, with ignite as primary damage and bleed as
secondary. Both bleed and ignite count as ailments, and so the
main links are a representative as such. Greater volley is used mainly
for preferrence. While you could go for rain of splinters, and use
volley, just keeping greater volley, giving it 20 quality, and actually
using any jewel that increases your damage, will do more damage.
Explosive arrow totems are the main damage, with Blast Rain used
for clear and as a curse on hit, with the curse being Temporal
Chains. As enemies have their action speed slowed, and are suffering
from bleed, and ignite they don't always get into range to attack or
even cast some spells before they die. Each totem fires five fuses at a
time, one for each arrow, and I have 4 totems up at almost all times.
With all 20 fuses being fired at the same time, attack speed is not as
important as it is on other ea builds, it does still help though.
This build while it doesn't feel powerful nor does it one shot any
bosses, but the overall damage overtime is pretty high. This is a dot
build and sometimes it can take a while for it to kill somethings.
It's not great against the immortal syndicate, as they just get away
before they die to the dot. And its not great against the Lava Lake
boss, as it's resisted highly against and the boss will pretty much
constantly heal. The totems die pretty easily even with Ironwood.
I actually found that they die at the same speed even with Ironwood,
so I unallocated it and used the two points elsewhere. However
most of the time, it's just a case of keep attacking and wait for the
boss to die.
